Hi Guys & Gals.

We've noticed recently that alot of people have been 'reviving' old threads, like topics from 3 months ago or so.

So we've decided to implemtent a new "LOCK" scheme, that once a topic is resolved, for example a topic asking a Question such as "What do you recommend etc..."

It shall be edited with a [CLOSED] name, and the topic shall be locked.

This is only a test for now, to see how well it copes in preventing old topics being used for spam & random chit-chat that is just used to grow your post count etc..

Closing topics

As we all know, many topics in almost all the mmosite sections, are about doubts or topics that are quickly over or not discussed by users.
So, to prevent spamming or dead topics coming to life, lets start using a good and friendly method to let the moderators know when to block or delete a dead topic.

How to do it:

When you have your doubt answered or when you know that your topic is going nowhere, just put near the topic title the following text: [CLOSED]

Example:





Requesting re-openings or any doubt

If you want to see your topic re-open or you dont agree with closing your topic, just post on this thread your request and one of the mods will try to furfill your doubt or request as soon as possible.



If we all contribute with this litle gesture, we can get a better and more clean forum.

Actually, I think if we put the "CLOSE" in the front of the title would be better, so ppl will know what is happening in the first glance!
And I also think it is better way to add "Sloved" when the question has the right answer, the "lock" button is not fit in these topic.

But the [closed] its already in the front of the title as you can see by the pic "title"[Closed] <---- Front of the title.
