Hello hello, ok yea i never built one befor.. but my friend does and said he would help me if i got all the parts and stuff... ANYWAY!

Im wondering how much HD... err btw im making a pure gaming machine here(well music and movies/pics too.. but 90% for gaming) SO! how much HD space do you think would be a good amount..? I was thinking 300GB
and for a v-card i was think a 8800gtx or should i upgrade to the new 9800 series?
and for a mother board.. i didnt know much about these.. but i picked on that can hold a dual or quad core. Im gonna get a 3.0 dual core, that should be enough right?
and the mother board can hold up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM, but im just gonna get 4GB for now.. again that should be enough right?
and i picked out a decent cooling fan.. or at least seems decent got good reviews..

but besides all that.. what eles do i need? O.o

lol oh yea and a case i picked out a nice one that would fit the mother board.. not to big on how it looks.. just want it to work good xD

Oooh...

HD should be ok, hardly somebody would sell you a 5400rpm.
V-card? If you have a 8800gtx keep it, if you play mostly mmorpg's save money on it, also a 3850 may be ok.
Motherboard : it has to run good with your rams, if you wanna overclock, you gotta be more careful when chosing.
4gb of ram? Would you use XP64 or Vista64 on it?
Otherwise you'll only see 3gb for what I know.

You got to look for a feeder, you'll probably need a 600w one for that PC.

oh yea.. power.. lol that would help xD

and i was thinking XP64.. cuz i keep hearing so much probably with Vista and games compatibility.. but if XP64 can only see 3GB.. then idk.. i might just go with vista.. and suffer through it.. O.o

and nah i dont care about overclocking.. just want a good gaming rig.. so i can play like my fav games at around 80-90 FPS.. games likes CSS, Halo, assassins creed and a few MMORPG's that i play(mainly only need high FPS on the FPS games.. xD lol wow.. just noticed that.. FPS..FPS.. lol anyway!) yea..

I haven't had problems with Vista until now, but a friend told me I'm a rare case of happy Vista user.

So what?
Buy xp, it's cheaper and save money for Windows 7 (Vienna?), whenever it comes out.

For the ram : be sure it runs at 800 or 1066 and the motherboard supports them at full speed (my motherboard stops them at 533 doh), you'll need these frequences only for Assassin's Creed though.
