maybe its you who has a poor comprehension skills . .
i've been playing the game since the CB and now im still playing it. . . and i think there's nothing wrong. instead of some misspelled words, but it is ...
I don't know why you would insult me by saying I have poor reading comprehension. I find it ironic as well, because as you say that your using improper grammar much the same as the game...
I've had many people on this forum agree with me that the translations are very bad.
I never said I could not understand them either, I said I couldnt tell what certain things mean. This is because there is no description and mis-used words, especially for sections of your character screen and character creation, etc.
For example, there is a section in your skill panel called "Cape" with no description of what it is. Cape would be normal to be seen on your equipment screen, not on a skill screen, and therefore should require a description.
In character creation, they mention how each class could be "Technique", "Mystery", or "Nature", but dont explain the difference or what those are specifically either.
There is no in-game description of the races as well, and the limited descriptions they do give are jumbled english not even making sense. For example this is an exact quote - "Humen set much valued on rapid movement, are sociable so ther are accepted gradly from anyone. But are crafty tribe so Louip set much value on simple honest, dont care for them." They go from attempting to say they are accepted by anyone, to saying they are crafty and louip put alot of value on simple honesty dont care for them in the next line? Those 2 lines contradict eachother.
Pom description says quote "Fo technical development, they can use up nature so they are out with Louip. However recently form start technical development for nature." It says on one line they can use nature for technical development, and in the next line saying they recently start techniacl development for nature? They redundantly and unneccessarily repeat themselves.
For Animator class it says "Animation can use all kind of blocks in order for use with the block system", but says no description of what the block description is at all.
It's not reading comprehension that's the problem, its that the horrible translation prevents them from actually having a description of the game mechanics.
Also, they very redundantly overuse Machines (machine abilities, steam machines, core machines, manufacture machines, steam transportation machines) and give no description of any of the differences, so again you have to experiment yourself to figure it out.
The worst part about all this is when you talk to every NPC or read every menu/selection, you shouldnt have to feel like every one of them doesnt speak your language very well. It completely ruins all sense of immersion in the game.
As a game, you should be able to just relax and read the game and know what is going on, without having to figure out what these things are due to bad naming and no descriptions.
