I'm thinking about buying Guild Wars cuz it looks like a pretty good game but i have some questions :x

1. There's still alot of people playing it?
2. The full game i can download it right?
3. And then i have to buy a expansion to get a activate code?
4. If someone played it, is it fun and worth to buy it?

Thanks

Just logged off GW after creating a new char and the population is actually decent, There is only one real expansion and thats Eye of the North so don't buy that unless you already have 1 of the other 3.
I recommend Nightfall for story its definatly the better game. But for easyness and a nice introduction to Guild Wars with a short time to get to level 20 go with factions. Its a nice game with good graphics considering you can get it cheap now i recomend trying at least one.

1. Population isn't that high, imo its too low
2. U buy the game, and the other campaign's or the expension(for the expension u need one campaign)
3.All activated with 1use-only code's
4. Its a good game

1. The population is okay, not too big but not too small either. I think there is a section of the people are just waiting for Guild Wars 2 like I am. =)

2. You need to buy the game itself and install it to your computer. The patches you can download.

3. You would need to buy the "expansions" to get the activation code. I do believe you need the original Guild Wars inorder to play Guild Wars: Eye of the North.

4. I have played this game for over 3 years now. I really enjoy this game. It fits most of the things I like in MMOs. There are a lot of things that set this game apart from the traditional MMOs.
- There is no grind for levels. The Max Level is 20. This makes casual player-friendly and not so much mindless grinding. It really takes like two days to a week to hit Max Level.
- Everywhere you go is an instance. This means no PK, no KS, and no waiting but lacks "meeting people in the open fields".
- This game really focus on the player rather than the character. With a low level cap and only eight skills you kinda need to know what you are doing.
- Very weak Death Penalty compare to other MMOs. The Death Penalty promotes good play though, I like it.
- Almost everything you do requires a party. Ranges from 4-8 depending on where you are.
- This game offers Heroes (Nightfall or Eye of the North Only) and Henchmens. These are basically NPCs that can join your party. This way they can be fillers in a party if needed. Or you simply you want to play by yourself. Or if you're me, I use them because most of the PUGs (Pick-Up-Groups) I get into usually sucks compare to them. Heroes are consider better since it belongs to you and you can custiomize them.
- Very PvP oriented but a lot of PvE content as well so no worries if you don't like PvP.
- There is a story and this game actually CONTINUES with the story. This is something I really like. =P

I would give this game a try since it's like $20 or $30 now. I recommand you buy the original Guild Wars since it's easier and slower. It's more new player friendly since it also gives out a lot of skills from quests. If you want quick leveling (Two days-ish), buy Guild Wars: Faction. This also offers one more PvP option. Buy Guild Wars: Nightfall for Heroes! You will learn to love them very much. Only get Eye of the North if you have the original and up for a challenge.

If you want someone to show you around you can add me. IGN: Natsumi Aoi. Hope to see you there! XD

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to offer you more information before you go out and buy the game. =P
