Basically, graphics have amazed many viewers of MMORPGs, and lately, game companies out there use this as a tool to lure in players. On the other hand, games that may not have the greatest of graphics quality, have been refused to be played by its discriminating ways. I also get the point that players want something that looks good and plays out well. But now, I'm wondering what players are really looking for. And for me, I choose to have gameplay instead of graphics (including that I don't have a magnificant pc).

If possible, I rather have both as it will make game a lot more appealing and interesting. If I had to opt I'd go for gameplay of course as long as the graphics aren't completely awful.
I guess once you start playing a few games with great graphics, it's hard to play lower graphics games. This happens to me at least. There's two games I tried recently but quit within the first 10min exactly because the graphics weren't that great.

this is not a good question, if one mmorpg can reach both standards of graphics and gameplay, that will be a good mmorpg, but it is dispointed that so far, there is few mmorpg can do both of them.

I think this question poses to us a false dichotomy. What do you mean by graphics OR gameplay, as if both lived in seperate realms that couldn't touch each other. In reality it is pretty much impossible to have a game that goes to either extreme. In other words it's a very poor question, or perhaps you phrased it very poorly.
Good games are able to have both good graphics and gameplay. However graphics have technological limitations as some computers are not able to support too high end graphics, or are unable to do so at a playable speed, especially when many skill animations are going off at the same time.

I'd choose both, but since usually the developers can barely give us one of those then I choose gameplay totally. I really don't care that much about graphics.

That is true... Either they are really good at grapgics and bad at gameplay or really bad at grapgics and good at gameplay. wich is confusing, but if you want BOTH good graphics and good game play Age of Conan :)

By the question, "Graphics or Gameplay?" As in what do you prefer most in a game. either its graphics quality, or its gameplay This post has been modified on May 01 , 2008 01:42:02 PM by furios7.
