What makes me wanna play ROM?

I wanna play Rom since it combines so much diffrent aspects from different mmo's into 1.Ive never seen so much features in 1 game,ok maybe in a p2p but not in a f2p.I think this game is gonna get me realy hooked again, and i think it have enough gameplayfeatures that it is impossible to get bored in it.I totaly love the 600+ quest and espacialy the Dungeons .The dungeons is 1 of the main reasons why i should choose ROM instead of an other mmo.The dual class seems challeging to find a good char that realy fits your playstayle, but who doesnt like a challance.I realy hope i can participate in this prommesing mmo.

Best Regards Per

Why do I want to play Runes of Magic?

Following up on this game for months, I find that this game has some great innovations. Many would criticize it as a blatant copy of WoW, but I see that it is an improvement from the WoW we all know and love. The dual class system offers versatility, in both the aspects of PvP as well as PVE, the max lvl cap of 50 ensures that this game will not be the traditional thoughtless grind but rather a game which focuses on deeper richer storyline and quests, and I simply enjoy the astounding graphics it has to offer. Just by looking at the video clips on youtube, I feel immersed in the world of RoM. It will be a great pleasure if given the chance to participate in this game. With the RoM team, I hope to improve the game and refine it through suggestions and possible bugs and flaws in the game. NO game is perfect, but I believe that this game has the potential to reach perfection. Thank you for your time and I hope to get selected as a beta tester.

Well, it really isn't that simple question. One of the aswers to this is "because it is another mmorpg that I haven't tried yet." Still this time there's more to it. Runes of Magic features something that I've been looking for in a game for a long time - variety.
Perhaps the dual class system is the thing that attracts most of the people to this game. For me - it is a thing that is connected with that feature - the gear that a character will be able to wear. In most of the games there are several sets of armor for each class and most of the characters end up having the same armor sets in the end. In RoM I believe that it will be different. I believe that there will still be different armor that is right for different classes but in the end you will be able to mix the armor of two almost opposite classes and emerge with a unique looks. More to that - you will be able to ride your favorite mount to complete the image you want your hero to have in the eyes of the other.
Mixing two classes in one also seems interesting to me. It gives almost endless oportunities - be it an archer hero that can stand in the way of your enemies without even noticing them while sniping a faraway enemy or a mighty mage that wields a giant hammer instead of staff or wand - it is always interesting when different gamestyles come togheter. This way if you want to play with a rogue and a healer at once - you can do it. This makes you become more familiar with your character and to come to percieve him as something more than a character - an extension of yourself in a virtual world. This is a feeling that very few games can give nowadays.
And finally when I'm tired of smashing heads and showing off my clothes at the local tavern I will be able to retire to my own virtual house for a rest. To decorate my own bedroom, living room or even garden(honestly if I get to decorate a garden in front of my house the first thing I'm going to put there is a big medievil toilet somewhere near the front door of the house - it might be a little crude but it sure attracts attention). Then I might invite guests and... then go out with them and crack some more skulls open :)

why do I want to play Runes of Magic?

I want to play Runes of Magic as it seems to have a lot to offer which is really quite different from other games.

I love questing and this game offers 600+ quests (thses could keep anybody happy for a long time)
The dual class system looks not only interesting but exciting to boot and offers a lot of choice on how to build your character. Talking about building your character, the individual character personalisation offers a lot of options.

Next the housing system! I cant wait to be able to use this, seems that you can do a lot here too, the mannequins for armour etc...and what better than havin your friends over for a wee chat before entering dungeons etc :P

The crafting looks very interesting and I can see myself being immersed in this for hours lol

After all is said and done I believe this is going to be one of the better F2P games out there if not the best and would be honoured to be a part of the beta testing team to help iron out bugs etc in game, heres hoping I can get that chance :)

Why RoM? When I first saw the graphics, I would have thought that it would have been a p2p game. When I saw videos on youtube about the innovative housebuilding system, as well as the dual class system I was sure it would be a p2p game. After further research, I found that it was f2p, and that "shocked" me. I want this game to be the game where i dedicate my time to. I want to help improve it through constant feed back and support. I believe, this is the next step of f2p games. Other f2p games offer the same ole' generic grind fest. But I see this game as the future of f2p mmo. I want to be appart of that future. If chosen as a RoM beta tester, I will try my best to uphold what beta testers were meant to do. I will give constant and constructive feed back, and through my efforts, I will make this game a better game.

Why do I want to play Runes of Magic?

I want to play Runes of Magic because I want to be a part of building this fantastic MMO. I first started playing MMO's as a member of the Mythos closed beta, and just as I was starting to get involved in the game and play an active part in the community, the rug was pulled out from under the whole thing. In Runes of Magic, I see the opportunity to again join in the effort to build a complex, immersive, and exciting game. By joining in the beta testing effort, I can contribute to creating a successful game to take on the big pay-to-play games. In addition to that, I'm really excited about all of the features Runes of Magic offers, such as the dual class system, the housing, and the dungeons and instances and would like to see how they work and change as the game moves toward release. I would absolutely love the opportunity to participate in the closed beta, so thank you for offering this opportunity to the community.

I've been playing mmo for along time but i'm currently kinda phased out of wow. The game got too boring and mundane; nothing much to do except raiding which was the only aspect of it left that i enjoyed but still it was too time consuming. Just recently I've looked into runes of magic and it sparked an interest in me again. The dual class system seems awesome and the feeling of starting a new game where there are so many new things to do will be refreshing. I hope I get selected for the beta testing. good luck everyone!

What makes me wanna play Runes of Magic?
(in this case: What makes me wanna TEST Runes of Magic?)

Of course there are several reasons and game features which got me so much interested in Runes of Magic. The mix of possibilities that i saw spread over a few different MMORPGs is finally here, in one, Free2Play game! It's so unique among all free games i know, that i will believe it only when i try it myself.

- improved crafting system (including gathering professions as well),
- simple and great housing system,
- pvp and gvg fights,
- guild wars (including ordinary fights and siege battles (over guild-halls!)),
- server vs. server fights on the way,
- tons of quests (they don't need to remove grinding from the game, but they will surely make it more interesting and less boring),
- instanced dungeons (DYNAMIC ones, generated randomly each time you go to explore them),
- good character customisation (important for some people, somehow for me too),
- reputation system,
- some typical features like having a mount, player and guild ranking system, the presence of item sets to gather,

and last but not least (yea, those 2 should be at the top)
- impressing dual-class system, which will probably bring an enormous ammount of FUN
- item upgrading and improving system, done through Runes (which i hope will be a strong part of the game)

finally, very last but not least for me
- ATMOSPHERE (build-up by surroundings, areas, dungeons, monsters, people, classes and things you can do while being in-game, everything covered up with accurate graphics and music), without which all features written above would probably not interest me that much, since feeling well in-game is very important for me, and there r only a few games that gave this feeling to me.

and one more thing, the newest ingame movie and interview are really worth watching, you can find them here http://www.runesofmagic.com/en/news,id43,mmorpg_com_game_week.html

What made me participate in this contest?

I want to really test the game a bit before it's going to be released. Of course pure fun and killing some time with a new toy is involved, hell yeah it is. But it's important for me that the game opens for wide audience clean and bugless (as far as it's possible). With slight experience in testing MMORPGs i wish to give some of my time to make the game better, so it comes out finished.

I was happy to hear about this contest, and seeing that you got some more keys that only 25 to give away makes me believe i have some chance of getting one. Especially that i lost motivation to visit RoM forum daily and see if new people are getting invited to Beta Test, after whole this mess with 20k fake accounts etc. i'm not gonna spend my time "contributing to the community", aka"spamming forums" to increase my chance of getting an invitation.

And well.. that's it
Peace.

What makes me want to play Runes of Magic you ask?

Well for starters it's the most interesting f2p game I've seen with great features, some from games I've enjoyed in the past.

I like the idea of having a shared home for all my characters with options to easily change clothing and switch items between characters. It's also nice that unlike fable we start out with our homes.

I'm interested to see the pvp system which is somewhat unusual for me. Getting stabbed in the back while farming or leveling up was always a huge annoyance. I think with the incorporation of arenas and other pvp events will help to keep things competitive but still peaceful.

The dual class system will help to save a little time and make characters more well rounded. This will come as a great help because I usually like to play as mages which end up being glass cannons. It might also help since I enjoy playing as crafters as well.

The creators really seem like they put their heart and soul into this game with never ending content. It's great to know that when the game is released new content will be distributed every 3 or 4 months. Dynamic dungeons and upgradable items will help to keep this game fresh and enjoyable for some time.

Why do i want to play Runes of Magic?

I would like to play Runes of Magic because I very much love to try out new things. Runes of Magic is a new world with new rules to explore. I have always been an adventurer when it comes to MMO's. I have been keeping up on the features and reading about the different lands I would have the opportunity to trod on. From the sounds of it they did a good job of melding different features of games to make one unique experience.

I play alot of MMO's, so alot of the features they have, I have seen. I am realy waiting for the opportunity to see them together and have the chance to help make them polished and running like the good mmo it looks like on the outside from where I am sitting.

As far as the beta goes I am willing and pateint enough to put up with and report diligently what ever bugs they need fixed. (if there are any) I have been in closed beta tests before and know that the game I would be playing now is nothing like the one it will be in live. So as far as why I want to join Beta, Its because I want a chance to make this mmo the best it can be and help to find what bugs it has and fix them. I hope to bring the experience I have gained from the numerus betas to the beck and call of Runes of Magic.

I didnt know if you wanted the answer for the beta test or for when it goes live so i gave both.

For the past few years i've been searching for the one MMORPG that will satisfy my hunger for playing and after a long wait it seems that i've managed to do it. Runes of magic offer a good variety of "tasty" thing for almost any MMORPG fan/player but hte most interesting that stands out for me is that it offers a dual class system . After seeing few videos of the game i'm in a huge anticipation . But dual class system isn't the only good part of RoM , it has a lot more to offer for example i would stand out these - Over 1000 !? quest already being implemented when the game goes Open Beta ; Housing system !? ; Lots of runes to modify your equipment ( No more switching armors over few lvl's , you now get the chance to keep your old armor you like by just modifying it ) , and the best part is - developers promise to add new classes/items/monsters.../.. every 3 months . The community itself is very good and developers spend much time in forums which is very good. That's what makes me wanna play RoM .

What makes me wanna play ROM?

I want to play RoM becuase, the game looks like no F2P game has ever went before. It has a cool house system like in fable and the game is like WoW which i love wow very much plus theres all differnt kinds of races and classes that sound soooo awsome. The duel system just looks amazing and PVP is one of the things i cant wait for, But in the past i played many games and i havent found one game that games me go O.o im playing this for weeks. I just hope this game might do that for me so i can have fun and get my friends in it, plus the raiding instanced dungeons sounds cool also SERVER vs SERVER witch i never seen in any mmo before so i really think this game is going to be the game i play for a long period of time.
Thanks for time reading this. Good luck everyone

What makes me wanna play Runes of Magic?

First I'm a VN gamer.I'm 23, have a good job, but still love rpg game.
I'm tired of games online in my country, cause they keep hacking, cheating, spam ... This is the 3rd time I played a global gameonline.I heard about RoM from one of my friends who study abroad. He said that I should try this game.
After sticking around RoM's forum, I got some infos.
This game have everything to become a great gameonline as pve, pvp, quests, crafting, instant dungeon, guild war ... But far from others they have dual-class system. That's great!May be it's similar to Titan quest, an offline rpg I played. That would provide gamers more choice to build their own charater style.
The next is housing system. It may help me get the feeling of a life-in-game that I've ever before.
Last but not least is IRC system.I eager to try it, maybe chatting with my friends or ... improving my English
Someone in this forum said how I said this game is great while I've never played.Well, they say that "love from first look".Why not?
It's not so hard for me to not be choosen.I just wanna share my thought.
Good luck to everyone!

What makes u wanna play Runes of Magic?

I have played many MMO's for few years now from Runescape to Lineage 2 but they all miss something important there is many different kind of MMO's out there and everyone of them has good quality's some has good story line some of the has good game master's and good support but i never have come across MMO that has them all and i think i finally found it Rues of magic has them all good GM's, good story line it has over 600 quest's thats never been done before thats one of the most im portant thing's that drawn me to this game many good games like World of Warcraft is pay to play so not many people can experience good online game but one of the most best thing in Runes of magic is that it's free so everybody can enjoy it. Runes of magic also has the dual class system that will really make the game more balanced than some other online game now people's who like to use priest's can easily solo and they dont need to look for party like some other MMO's require so those are one of the most important thing's that makes me want to play Runes of Magic this is the game that will make compete agains't the long ruled World of Warcraft.

Why I want to play Runes of Magic:

I've been playing MMORPGs on and off for a reasonably long time (10+ years), and there has never been a genre of games that has really captured my attention like them. Most of it is due to the interaction these games allow (allowed) with real people, an experience you can't hope to copy with any singleplayer game, no matter how well designed.

Despite my love of the genre, there hasn't been a new game for a long time that has really captured my attention. Runes of Magic however, is kind of like my dream game in a lot of ways. My favorite things about it are:

The World: I'm a big fan of western high fantasy, always have been.

The crafting system: I always felt asian MMOs were a little stronger in this regard and Runes of Magic looks like it will deliver at least that level of crafting depth. I look forward to the player driven economies that good crafting systems make.

Housing: This seems to be an overlooked feature in many new-school MMOs

Dual Classing: If its anything like the system in Guild Wars, it promises a lot of depth over a very simple and easy to understand exterior, which is exactly what I want from a game. If I like an MMO I'll try to get friends to play it and too much apparent complexity can push away new players.

PvP: Like icing on the cake with all the above in mind.

So that, in a few words, is why I want to play RoM. I want to revisit a familiar experience the way I always wanted it to be. I want friends to be able to join me easily. I want to be a part of a game that has captured my imagination. I want to be around for every step of development and contribute to making this a wonderful experience.

Q:
What makes u wanna play Runes of Magic?
A:
Well , first off the first thing that brought my attention to this game was the fact of a 'Dual Class' system , honestly who wouldnt want to be able to be a melee class with powerful mage skills? The pvp diversity is huge with the ammount of class combonations that are possible to have. As i continued to read up on the website everything i came across just kept me wanting more and more! From user built houses to randomly generated dungeons with huge boss fights to them integrating a Server Vs Server war in the future , as well as being able to combine armor with better armor but keep the look of the the older armor. The game has been quoted to have features of many other games but all together in one f2p game , as i've heard alot "If its not broken , dont fix it."

Bottom line reason i want to play RoM in closed beta , I want to help this game to be better for everyone from suggestions/bugs to what ever it may take to get it ready for a smooth launch when it goes live.

Thanks ,
CloNe

What makes u wanna play Runes of Magic?

The thing that first caught my eye was that RoM had a dual class system. I am a huge fan of character options and enjoy unique combinations that a dual class system can provide.

I also think that the rune system is a great innovation. I do not like that I should have to give up my green armor for the red armor because the red armor has better stats. I also don't like having a real cool looking suit of armor that isn't very statistically helpful. The rune system seems to try to solve these problems.

One feature that I thought was cool about EQ2 was that I could customize a house and display trophies and rewards. I am really glad that RoM will also have this so I can show off to my friends all the adventures I have been on.

Another feature of other MMOs that I really enjoy is questing. I am glad to hear that RoM will have 600+. It takes a lot of load off of the grind (which a lot of F2P MMOs have) and gives me a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

Once more dungeon information was released my excitement for the game exponentially elevated. The dynamic dungeon system sounds like it will bring a lot of life to the world and provide interesting adventures everytime. It also sounds like they want to try and have some huge dungeons to provide a great level of immersion while trying to level up and get new loot.

It is admirable that Frogster is trying to provide a quality game using the F2P model. Especially one that wants to keep updating the game with new content. I understand the huge costs involved with not only making a game but also maintaining it.

I want to do everything I can to help Runes of Magic be successful and bring a new level to F2P MMORPGs.

What makes you wanna play Runes of Magic?

At the moment I have no game in my life that satisfies my online gaming needs and as a result I have to spend much time with my girlfriend :)
Apart from that this game could be the one that bring the joy of gaming back into my life. The features that caught my eye was housing, loads of quests, a graphics style that I like, dual-class system and dynamic instance layouts. Thats a load stuff and all in the same f2p game ^^
I think beta testing is fun because you get to interact with the developers and that way get a nice warm feeling of helping out.

Cheers, may the runes be with you :)
