Hi! I was wondering if there is such a thing called defense strategies in Atlantica online. I seen some offensive strategies but I haven't seen some defensive strategies. So what are your defensive strategies? And can somebody teach me how to use the guard function. I've been clicking the guard button and try to time it during the enemy's attack, but still, I receive damages. Thanks!

Observe this one:

When you use guard, since, the total # of merc that you can control each turn is just five regardless of the action power points that all your merc have, some of the should-be-unused merc will be given a chance to move.

Now the Wait command will make the merc given that command to have a sure move on the next turn.

the skip turn simply skips your turn and doesn't use action power points.

Hope that helps.

defense strategy depends on your formation and how your monk will react... basically the turnbased system is like chess.. the object of the battle is to protect your king or in this case your hero at all costs... your pawns inthe game are the tankers, swordys and vikings and spears... they are dispensable for the most part contributing to the greater aim of the battle which is to defeat the other hero...

as in my case, my dfense strategy is having better offense.. keeping the other party on the defensive stance.. you dont take the beating, you deal the beating.. after you *itchslap him to eternity eventually his def will make his hero vulnerable...

oh btw, another strategy art in the game is the ability to move the characters.. this works exceptionally well especially if you have lots of similar characters in the game and your opponent focuses on one of em.. you can easilly do a switcheroo to confuse your opponent deferring the amount of damage one tanker gets

Casting holy guard on your front line is very important, especially to block multiple hit skills and freezing axe, which can incapacitate your army quickly. Using lightning spear on the enemy's best offensive units is something I do as well, since it lowers their damage.

keep in mind that holy guard prevents you from healing them as well. it can work to your disadvantage too. stunning a merc also removes holy guard.
