It's sort of a sequel and only a few people have heard about it so I'll tell you what I know... It has bigger battlfields and dungeons and more of a 3D effect to it. Better graphics and new characters. Elsword-The knight of the game, elsword is the main protaginoist. I've also heard Elsword is a boy Aisha-The mage of the game, Unlike Arme, she can hit things with her wand in a combo rather than a magic circle. Rena-The archer of the game, she has sailor moon-like blonde hair. That's all I know for right now. (I might have gotten Aisha and Rena's names mixed up, if I messed up, please correct me.)

Well, that might be good for others, but i don't see it like a sequel, more like a spiritual sucessor, if that makes any sense. I also thin Elsword is a sword that has the best power in the game, or at least a legend of sorts. At least, i think it's used as the backdrop of their story. Anyway, the game is highly different from grand chase, in that certain gameplay mechanics have been altered like so, that it plays very differently from grnad chase.

Don't say never though. Maybe in about a few year, or maybe 10. But we might get it.

Well, i know that much, but when did grand chase show it's face and never has been said there will be a release for an english version? Also, to those who don't know, you can make a link clickable by using <URL='insert urlink here.></URL>. So, like this. Do it in these [] brackets.

there have been alot of games that came out in the far east that will never make it over here...or in English if that sounds bet ... Lol .. this is true I guess. But there have been some games that are translated fast for American game players or European game players. That is, only if the game is successful, that is why BETA's are released anyway =] .. but I don't really see much point of it either .. cause right now we're still on the first continent, it will be awhile til we reach the third, and a sequel of an online game doesn't really sound that great .. no offense, cause I can't remember any sequels to online games that were actually considered "Good". Only one that comes close to it which I've heard was Ragnarok 2.

That is very true. But maybe they made it somewhat of a different game. Or they would of shot themselves in the foot. What i don't get is why there are sequels to MMOs. It seems like pure retardation to me. Can someone explain it?

Like I've mentioned somewhere before, sequels are created because developers realise that they're rather stuck with what they originally developed. They can't particularly recreate the entire graphic engine in middle of thousands (if not millions) of players playing the game on a pleasurable level. So they create a sequel in order to show off new graphics, more innovations, and (sometimes) a totally different approach to the same game. I'm currently waiting on Guild Wars 2 with a very unplesant case of 'impatience'.

Have they actually said that it was a sequel ? And if it is, what type of game play ? Cause Koreans haven't even finished with the first Grand Chase, and already making a sequel .. ?

Elsword plays similar to Grand Chase but different. So, 2D fighting with 3 different characters. But there are some differences like the mage being able to wack people with her staff and stuff.
I don't think it's a sequel. More like a similar but different game.

Yea, that is why i said a spirtual sucessor of sorts. The gameplay is very different than ours, even though it is made by the same team. To answer another question of kira, the gameplay is 2D fighting and platforming it seems.

To answer another question of kira, the gameplay is 2D fighting and platforming it see ... Yes I noticed after watching a video further. I thought it was 3D at one stage cause the camera jumps a bit left to right, but only has one angle. The game play is very different, you seem to have to pick up you're experience lol ==" .. and also it's a lot more comic related .. as far as I can tell.

It makes it more like, i dunno, jump superstars like. It's just a warning that someone uses a special move. It's nothing much important. But it is interesting that the archer uses mp, instead of being able to spam arrows. Which indicates very differing gameplay to me. And that is why i want to try it. But i'll have to do this game until then. And some others, but those will be bought IRL.

I'm terribly sorry for bumping a relatively old thread. However, there is a useful update to the information here if people were curious about Elsword. I've decided to play it up until level 10. Here's a nice "sneak peak" I did of the game: Link Here
