What we know of Call of Duty: World At War: Call of Duty: World At War will be developed by Treyarch, but not Infinity Ward.
Treyarch made us games such as: - Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (PS2/Xbox/GC) - Call of Duty 3 (PS2/PS3/Xbox/360/Wii).
Infinity Ward made us games such as: - Call of Duty (PC/Mac) - Call of Duty 2 (360/PC/Mac) - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3/360/PC)
The Rumours: The rumours so far is that Call of Duty: World At War will not be another modern day fps nor will it be a futuristic fps, instead Call of Duty: World At War is said to be going back to World War 2, but this time, instead of handling the war on Europe's side, Call of Duty: World At War will be about the war in the Pacific. This rumour came to be, as with Treyarch's site, had job openings with descriptions to have some knowledge and being able to look up past wars in history for the new Call of Duty Project.
Confirmed: Call of Duty: World At War will be taking place back in World War II, but on the Pacific side of the war. Also confirmed is there will be Co-op for the Campaign mode of the game. And online mode of Call of Duty 5 will feature vehicles and more squad base elements. - Source

Wow, another Call of Duty already? Seems like they're going into overdrive, but I guess with a franchise as successful as Call of Duty you can't really blame them for their decision to release another one so quickly. Sure it'll be a big hit, but it'll be hard to top the last game in the franchise.
Will it be out on the PS3 and 360? Or will it also be on the DS/Wii?
Dang, I enjoyed playing the CoD franchise on the Wii, a lot more then I did on any other system. Oh well, guess I will just get it for the PC this time.
wow another one how many more are they going to make?
They will stop when people stop buying the series.
The Joker: I'm gonna make this pencil... disappear. [Gamble's thug walks over to kill The Joker, who pushes his face into the pencil and kills him] The Joker: Ta-daa! It's... gone!
Sorry, but being exclusively for the Wii is not true at all. All the big gaming news site, from Gamespot, IGN and etc. has stated it will be for the PS3, 360 and PC and Treyarch(Confirmed Devs for CoD:WAW) also has hinted towards this as well. No offense, but A nintendo WII does not have the graphical power of a PS3!
I doubt a call of duty would come out on WII, and if it did it wouldnt look or feel inspirational to play.
I got COD4 on PS3, its blimming good, but I feel Activision seem desperate to beat Medal Of honour Franchise, are Activision in Financial Crisis, or off their heads a lil?!
Well an update to the upcomming CoD:AWA, has been announced. Although nothing new feature wise or if the game will be modern day or back to WWII.
But Activision has confirmed that CoD:WAW will be for PS3, 360, PC, PS2 and the Wii. -Source This post has been modified on Jun 20 , 2008 09:35:02 AM by mqt056.
It's getting to be a bit of a joke now. Modern Warfare was BRILLIANT! It was great to have a game that wasn't set in WW2. It's stupid now. The MoH and CoD series have lasted longer than World War 2 did! How many more times can they drag up the same old corpse of a war.
Yeah, WWII games are like...last century ^^ literally. Modern Warfare was just wow when it game out and i still play it avidly every chance i get! Hope that they change their minds..
