Novice Starting Build:

You know the drill, kill weak monsters like Porings and Willows but I suggest you hunt Pupas. They give high job experience and drops nice items like Guard [1] and Pupa Cards, that items can give you money early in the game.
Put all your status points on dex. And remember to pick up all the loots from monsters.
After being an archer, sell all your loots and buy silver arrows and red potions, if you have picked up pupa cards or guard [1] earlier, sell them to other players (NOT NPCs!) and buy a cross bow so you can use it later. Remember to save money.
Go straight to Payon Cave after being an archer. When leveling, go to a place with many people, go between the people so you are safer. Get Vulture's eye, until its level 7. Then head straight to byalan island, Kill hydras. they also give high job experience. If you are lucky, you can get a hydra card, You can sell that to buy an AoA, or if you are so lucky that you get many of 'em, buy a mocking muffler/hood.
Continue leveling up in byalan until you are level 33. After that, get a gakkung and upgrade it if you have the money. Starting level 33, you should put all your stats to agi to dodge monsters. You need to level up fast so you can hunt to get rich so head straight to Prontera and ask an acolyte or priest to warp you to gh underprison. Go to a spot where there are many people so the monsters' attention won't be focused on you, and double strafe all those undeads and use normal shots to insect monsters.
Stay in GH until you are a Archer Job 41.
By then: your skills should be like this.
10 Double Strafe
10 Owl's Eye
10 Vulture's Eye
10 Improve Concentration
You really don't need to put skill points in arrow shower because there are extra skill points after learning all the essential skills of hunter.
Change Job.
After being a hunter, level up outside the hunter's guild and get falcon mastery, then buy a falcon and a Hunters bow then head straight to GH Underprison. Again, you can upgrade your hunter's bow if you have the money. After your agi is 70, or 80 (if you still don't have a mocking muffler), put your status points in dex again. In your skills, max out steel crow, Blitz Beat, Ankle snare and the rest are optional.
After 70ing or 80ing your agi, put all your stats in dex again.
When you are level 70, you should have 70 dex and 70 agi or 80 agi and 50+ dex or so.
Go straight to Sphinx and hunt requiems to get OBBs. You can either sell OBBs or open them to get rare items to sell. Continue leveling there until you have boots of hermes, extra tights, AoA, binoculars, and 2 nimble clips. And a decent bow, boned and bloody or hallowed. I suggest using +10 composite bows because they are cheaper than +8 gakkung and they are lighter too compared to other bows.
After having those items, you can either level up solo in GH underprison with your quad Boned composite bow or team up with a priest and go to Glass Heim 2f, Glass Heim Chivalry, or Clock tower B2F, whichever you want. Continue leveling there until you are level 99. When you are level 90+, you should replace the nimble clips, your AoA and your mocking muffler with nimble brooches, Ghost bandana and muffler of rogue.
At level 99 your final stats should be:(not including the bonus)

And your final equips should be:
Ghost bandana
Muffler of rogue
boots of hermes
extra tights
2 nimble brooches
+10 double abysmal gakkung if you have the money.
