Just recently Runescape made changes that virtually destroyed the entire in-game economy and virtually eliminated PvP combat and the game devs acted like that was an improvement. Runescape wasn't even all that great to begin with. As a player I know the frustration and the feeling of powerlessness. What can I do? I don't own Runescape. The people who do own it can do whatever they want with it, just like was done with EQ, SWG, etc., etc.

We all know bounty hunter isn't a perfect replacement but it's good enough for now you can do almost anything you could do before accept for do something lame like kill a skiller/ runner... I will say it is somewhat harder to get away with your loot but I for 1 have embraced this additional challenge.

They did added Duel tournaments which was a great improvement to PVP allowing you to win many more times the amount that you staked & Fist of Guthix which has improved PVP by adding strategy.

There still working on improving clan wars at the moment & it sounded like they are adding alot of what was suggested so it should be awesome once it's done.

As for the economy ruined that's a 1/2 truth at best if anything it was improved alot to a similar standard of a modern Commodity style market with the addition of the grand exchange. I make millions every day just as easy if not easier then what I would have before.




Ofcourse my views do not reflect that of everyone but I have 6 years of PKing & merchanting experience behind me & this is how I see it right now. It takes some adaptation & it seems like many would rather be like an Ostrich & stick there head in the sand. You try to help them & they'd rather argue & flame instead of even trying to see that it was necessary.

Like it or not this really was a necessary change without it the game would have been shut down due to banks blocking payments. It's not only Runescape that is being effected by this I know for a fact that other MMOs have had similar moves made against them that's a main reason why fighting this RWT/RWIT mess is so important.

Those changes caused more good then bad they have been welcomed & received well by many.

The good:
1. Game stays open
2. Reduced RWT/RWIT & Bots
3. Almost completely removed scamming
4. The quitting of many completely obnoxious players - That is right I am glad to see you gone! I am ashamed to be in the same community as many of you.
5. Easier & faster trading
6. Reduced need to live in a bank advertising
7. More time for Jagex to release wonderful updates as there not having to devote so much to banning all those gold farming/ bot accounts.
8. Tournaments
9. FOG

The Bad:

1. Removed traditional Pking
2. Reduced stacking
3. Changed merchanting but still possible.

Those changes were a godsend. It really did remove alot of terrible things that we wanted gone for years.

They have taken the strongest stance for any MMO I have ever seen & it looks like it's working on getting rid of the bots that are payed for by stolen credit cards. I usto go around common areas & see them packed with bots - there easy to spot ugly default bald char with ugly green cloths. It would take me a good few hours to report them all in a world when I tried.

I read that they banned over 8k accounts every week & that wasn't enough as the RWITers would just make more. It seems like other methods don't work to well at all bans & arrests don't stop the main offenders I wish they did due to this I suspect that eventually we will see this sort of move by other MMOs & this is just the beginning.

Don't get up them for finally doing what there larger portion of there players wanted. Sure there where alot of people that didn't like this but in the end they did the right thing by there long term loyal players.

We had been asking for RWT changes for years like others have said before it had costs involved & we now live with those costs.

i got to admit i love there quest system, u need logical thinking, or a quest guide.
most mmo quest jus tell u to kill monsters, and run around is circles.
also there r mini games that keep u entertain like duel arena and castle wars. how many mmo hav mini games that u can play and a break from lvling?

We have been given loads of fantastic updates this year those changes have been more then made up for. Runescape is a greatly improved game due to those changes!

lvls need to higher that 70, it's be better with prayer lvl 43.

try making all your level high like 40 really thatll take awhile

Oh well. PVP is back now.

but the game still doesn't feel the same

good thing that Jagex listens now like removing that video ad. a long, long time before, make a thread complaining about this and that, and the mods will close it immediately.

a New PVP System has been released.... its a mix of Bounty hunter,Wilderness,Pvp

Jagex has actually did some decent things the past few months, I like it.

Now they have PvP worlds where nearly every location on that world is PvP and not just in Wilderness.

still there is no affect wen u attk and it not very fun, cause all u do is click-.-
