How to log in the Korean RO2!

Well I just see that a lot of friends have troubles in logging the game, and even if they success log in the game the Korean troubles them again So here I write something and hope it can help you

1. Unknown error occurs when we click the game client shortcut!!

Well i think a lot of friends meet this problem.

First we need to install a Microsoft Applocale unicode transfer software. As you know that the game client you download from either MMosite or Korea Ro2 official site is the Korean verion and our operation system is English so we need a certain korean unicode to run the game client. If we haven't install the software and our operation system doesn't support the Korean unicode so if you run the game there may occour unknown error. And here the Microsoft Applocale helps us, you can download the software from Microsoft official site or via goole search. After you install the software, run the Ragnarok2.exe via this software and select the Korean unicode to run the game client. Then you will solve this problem and then let the game client automatically update the game , and the updating process may take you some time cause you know that the game changes a lot since its open beta at 28th May. You need to be patient and wait until the game client finish the updating.

2. Everything in game is korean I can't understand anything!!

Yep, as what i have said above this game is still in Korean Open beta and we just try to log in to korean servers to experience it. But we have English patch! Some excellents guys have done a lot of works to translate the RO2 game interfact.

You can download the lastest verion of their English Patch here:

click the download on the right menu.

After we download this English patch, extract the file and we will get a file foler" Dat" and a Ragnarok2.exe file and one introducton .txt file. And we replace the "Data" and the Ragnarok2.exe with the original game client. Pls remember to back up your "Data" folder and the ragnarok2.exe file of your original game client in case something special happen.

Well if you do all of the above done, we still have to run the game client via the Applocale software. Then you will see the lovely english" Connecting to the servers..." so enjoy the game!!!

The game interface and NPCs&mobs' names are English as well as the maps name and some skills after we install the English patch, and i think it would be easier for you to enjoy the game.

3. How to register an account??

Ok,,currently registering an account from the Korean official site need a KSSN, which i think most of you know. 5. I've installed the Applocale but I still haven't got any asian languages pack to support the game to run.

Ow it wont work for me =((( when i start game client it says some error in korean then i can only press ok...and it exits

Hello Borika, I think you haven't installed the Microsoft Applocale software then run the game client. If you install the game and then run it without installing the Applocale, it will occur the error just like what you said. We need to download the applocale, and install it then run it, continuing to press NEXT and select the Ragnarok2.exe and then the applocale will automatically select the proper language to run the Ragnarok2.exe, that is Korean, then you press "OK" then you can run the game successfully!

In a word, we can't directly run the game client after we install it. We need to install a software call Applocale----windows unicode transfer software to run the Ragnarok2.exe. Cause you know that the game client is Korean.

ooooh..well i installed applocale and did like you said..but i uninstalled it and downloaded the client from somewhere else...now when i want to instal it it says (when i want to click on install at the wizards end) IDS_CREATE_ACCOUNT_ERROR

oh..Borikaa, where you download the game client? I suggest you download the client from MMOsite download section.

I heard from one of my friends that this game should be installed in a NTFS format hard disk partition, or error will occur at the end of the installtion if you install it in FAT32 format disk partition, my pc's hard disks are all NTFS format so I have no such troubles.

But as you've said before that you've successfully install the client, this point make me feel confused, but you now can have a try later, format one of your hard disk partition into NTFS format and install the game client again, or I strongly recommend you to download the game client at MMOsite download sectin.
