Hello! Just so everybody knows i actually play the games before i review them!

Holic, is a cool new anime game developed by MGame and published by netgame USA. NetGame(OFFICIAL SITE) is also publishing The Legend of Ares, Scions of Fate and Hero Online



When i started the game...
When i first started to download, i watched some youtube videos and i really couldnt wait, but when i logged in...i got a few surprises...lets take a look at the ups and downs of the game:



Ups:
-Cool graphics
-Good character custm.
-Bothe sex can be all classes, wich ar rogue,monk,priest,warrior and mage
-Many classes
-NPCs "Talk" when you click on them
-Variety off skills
-"animated" character portrait
-WASD control AMD click Control



Downs:
-LOTS of spelling errors
-Many "invissable" walls
-When u click on NPCs their voice is LOW
-many skills has absoluttly same animation
-Only available for PC and IE (And firefox) users
-Already in OB the game is full of gold selling spammers
-No "shout channel" wich means everyone uses the "looking for party" channel
-Hard to understand most of the game if you dont get help, take me for an example, i used the whole CB period to understand how to accept a friend invite or to view a /say message...





Graphics:
Holic has awsome grapihcs but as mentioned there is to many "invissable" walls and you cannot dive into the water... 4/6

Sound/Sound effects:
The sound effects of Holic is pretty nice, the background music is long and not to boring to listen to, and the sound effects are also good timed and pretty nice to listen to ^^ 5/6

Weapons/Armor:
All the weapons in Holic are nice to watch, not "flat" and can be upgraded with diffrent upgrading "stones" and some of these upgrading stones might give your weapon a glow effect. alover nice ^^ 5/6

General:
The game has got a few glitches and spelling errors but i HOPE NetGame will fix these as i sent over 5e-mails complaining about these, so...overall a good game for everyone. Good job MGame! 4/6

Extreamly helpful! BTW. Im the guy named Turbo at the Picture but, that dossnt matter now beacuse i want to tell something more and fix some things thats wrong on the Topic over over One thing that was wrong is that Holic have a Shout channel but.. you have to write something to get it! (I dont remember it now..) Im quite sure all of the *Downs* with this game but remember, it came out for just some weeks ago. The game has Great Graphics One thing that i like wery good with this game is that it`s a position system that shows where you are and where Example you can find a NPC in a quest A thing i dont like is that in the Big city`s its Arrows on the ground to show Where the NPC shops are. One thing that wassnt mentiond on the Topic over is that this game have a cool job system, with this system you can change job from a example: Mage to a Priest.. this is quite useful.. But if you want to be a Mage/Priest you have to lvl, to lvl 10 on the mage and then start on the Priest witch starts at lvl 1! That means you have to lvl the priest from lvl 1 - 10 without quest`s that you did as mage! This system give you a chance to get all the jobs beacuse you can go to a guy witch stands at Nakuru town : Y1150 X605. This system give you have chance to lvl to max lvl as all the jobs! Hope this information *uppdated* Erikzen`s Topic... and Erikzen Write with all the Details next time

Another major weakness is the 5% exp loss from death after level 10. It gets extremely annoying that monsters have a 10m range (a seagull can attack you from 10m away using its beak?? Doesn't make sense to me) and are able to kill your character before you escape or heal since lag prevents either from happening. The grinding is pretty bad too, I'm bored already and I'm only level 17... but maybe that's because lag caused my character to die so often.
Other than these two weaknesses I absolutely enjoy the cute graphics and calm music. The graphics may not be that flashy and skill animations may not be that great but they are all part of the "cute, simple, and innocent" scheme that the game is trying to introduce.

Hey very nice review ! To be honest, I wasn't going to try the game out anyway but you're review covers a lot of detail and just made me wana try it out so I'll tell ya how it goes sometime, thanks again !

I didn't liek this game at all, the movement of the chars are like eww, and when you attack a mob, you can't tell when you actually are doing the damage and the hp bar of the mob change all teh time, is kinda odd o_o..

I tried Holic I myself made it to lvl 20, and grew bored of the game. grinding was rather difficult. once you reach 18-20 lvl range. but over all a decent game, not to many things I didn't like.

Great review. I liked the game and got to level 30 before I had to quit due to the game having issues with Xtrap on Vista. There were a handful of us with the same issue on the forums there but we could never get an answer.

the characters are so cute! :) maybe i will try it.. ah there are so much games to try.^^

holic lacks pvp which i felt made the game hard to stay interested in
