Ok,here is another guide from me.Ive been lvling my mage since I started playing 2Moons(4 months ago).It has been the only class that I played and fully commited to.Ive read tons of guide on incar builds,Ive heard a lot of advices and tried EVERY skill up to lvl81.Ive spent a lot of time on examining my mage and bit by bit I kinda figured out what would be the easiest way to get my mage from lvl1 to lvl92.This skill-build wont be much different then other tri-element incar but it will be used for one and only purpose-to get your mage to lvl92 as soon as possible so you could reset to pvp build. Also, guide wont only include skill builds but explanation of the skills I use, lvls of the skills, why it is best for pve and where and how you should grind to achieve maximum effect. So,lets start.

------------------------------------------------------------

"How to get your mage from lvl1-92 as fast as possible" guide

1.What is the point of this guide?
Ok,I will explain this in a very harsh and straight manner.Mage SUCKS in pvp at low lvls.If you want to own everyone in pvp from lvl1-91 you will not choose mage as your class,as only way to unlock its full potential in pvp is to lvl it to 92.Therefore,most players tend to raise their mages up to lvl92 as fast and as painless as possible, which doesnt include only speed, but no resets as well.Believe me,unless youre planning on spending real cash to buy skill reset, you want to save your free reset for lvl92 if youre mage.if you dont reset after lvl92 you will never reach your full potential as a mage or you will have a very hard time lvling to 92.This guide should help you with both.It should teach you how to spare your skill points and free reset, while making it as easy as it can be to get to 92.If you want to make strong pvp mage, dont read this guide,it wont concern pvp at all,and will be made strictly as pve guide.

2.How to achieve that?
To achieve that we will divide lvling into few steps.Steps will mean difference in lvls between new skills. We will also have few sub-steps at the points where we have big gaps between new skills. As we keep getting new skills I will post screenshots with skill build for that lvl and explain how to use those skills, where to grind, and how to use your skills most efficiently. Also, skill build will be tri-element as I believe that is the best way to achieve high dps in pve and high lvling speed. We will also focus on keeping cooldown of all skills low so you can combine them in combo and aoe locks.I will explain that further in next chapters of the guide.Skills order is made lvl-by-lvl so you can make your skill tree easier and there is a lot of screenshots that will help you understand it better as well.

3.From lvl1-10
This will be very easy to achieve. All you need to do is grind at mobs in loa/braiken.Lvl1 quest is A MUST and all quests that are chained to it,because it will allow you to enter dungeon at lvl5,rest of the quests are optional.Use your only skill, energy jab to grind/quest your way to lvl5,but dont put any skill points into it.All energy attacks in the game atm are USELESS,so dont put ANY points into energy attacks(passive branch attacks). After lvl5 go to maze of newbies and keep repeating it until you get to lvl7.At lvl 7 get your first elemental skills and keep doing maze of newbies all the way to lvl10.With lvl7 skills it will be as easy as 1-2-3.Just keep repeating those 3 skills on each mob and never go into melee(dont use auto-attack).

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl1-4) - save skill points,dont use any
(lvl5) - get fire mastery, ice mastery and lightning mastery
(lvl7) - get fire bolt, ice bolt and lightning bolt
(lvl10) - get energy mastery and mana force

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl10:

4.From lvl10-16
At this point you will probably already become sick of maze of newbies but keep doing it because its still easiest way to lvl.If you really get so sick of it,go to north part of north ares/north motre and kill lizardmans or aramons, but it really isnt that hard to lvl16.During these lvls we will keep increasing energy mastery because it significantly increase defence and is most important mage passive(always keep it maxed when possible) and we will also get sieze nimbus buff which will help you increase your defence even more.At lvl16 you will get your first aoe skills and first slowing skill and things will become much easier.

NOTE: Dont forget to use mana force buff all the time because it will replenish your mana and save you from buying mana pots,

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl11) - put 1 point in energy mastery and fire mastery
(lvl14) - get sieze nimbus
(lvl15) - put 1 point in energy mastery
(lvl16) - get fire ball, ice wave and chain lightning

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl16:

5.From lvl16-27
Now you have 3 new skills.Ice wave is a slowing skill that will decrease speed of your enemies by 50%.Fire ball and chain lightning are your first aoe skills but with very little aoe range so you will use them similar as lvl7 skills.Anyway, now you should start killing mobs by casting skills in this order - ice wave-fire ball-chain lightning.Ice wave goes first,it will slow your opponent and allow you to keep the distance from mobs, then goes fireball which is biggest damage skill and chain lightning.just keep repeating skills in that order, and if all 3 happen to be in cooldown at the same time use lvl7 fire bolt to fill in the gap.
At this point you will be killing mobs in Denebe.Best are mantis and mrier.Keep killing those and move on to den of Norak when you feel strong enough to kill yetarians and crude nightmares.Remember to stay away from ranged mobs and keep your distance from mobs.At lvl20+ you might want to move on to Heiharp.Be careful here because mobs will attack you even if you dont attack them and they are in large groups.Best way to lvl is to find few people and make a party. Also try to stay away from ranged mobs.
You will notice that up to lvl27 we focuse on increasing passives(energy mastery, mana force and sieze nimbus) while increasing elemental masteries instead of skills, because skills from lvl7-36 will be useless later in game and elemental masteries will always work with all skills.

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl17) - put 1 point into lightning mastery
(lvl20) - put 1 point into energy mastery, sieze nimbus and mana force
(lvl21) - put 1 point into ice mastery
(lvl22) - put 1 point into fire mastery
(lvl25) - put 1 point into energy mastery
(lvl26) - put 1 point into sieze nimbus
(lvl27) - get fire blaze, ice spike and lightning chase

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl27:

6.From lvl27-36
As you may have noticed,at lvl27 you get 3 new skills. Those skills include first 2 REAL aoes and first freeze skill. Those will really come in handy.Fire blaze is a melee aoe skill, which will make dmg 3 times to all enemies close to you,ice spike will freeze your enemy and make some dmg,and chain lightning is ranged aoe skill with decent damage and not bad aoe range(all mobs close to your target).best way to use your skills at this points will be this - ice wave-chain lightning-ice spike-move into melee range-fire blaze. If too many mobs are attacking you and have high hp just ignore last 2 steps and fill the cooldown gap in with lvl16 skills if needed. If mobs ever come close to you,use fire blaze to make the distance and run away.Best way to lvl fast before lvl34 is to make aoe party in Heiharp, especially for mage.If you dont know what is aoe party refer to aoe party guide made by bobkelso in guides section of this forum.Fire blaze will be extremely useful in aoe parties. At lvl34 go to dungeon in Requies and keep repeating it.it will bring you great exp and some money as well.
Note that at this point we will keep increasing our masteries,lvl26 skills will stay on lvl1,just as all skills before them, and we will also increase our buffs.

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl30) - put 1 point in energy mastery and mana force
(lvl35) - put 1 point in energy mastery
(lvl36) - get fire fury, ice storm and lightning circle

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl36:

7.From lvl36-55
Now this is what you have been waiting for.Your ultimate grinding skills, fire fury, ice storm and lightning circle. All 3 have great aoe range, great cooldown time and great damage.Probably the best grinding skills any char could wish for.All you need to do is get enemies in some corner and repeat skills in this order - ice storm-lightning circle-fire fury and keep repating that on and on and on while your enemies are kept in aoe lock helplesly trying to get out of your dmg circle.Once you get used to those skills you will be able to time that so perfectly that there will be no chance for your enemies to get even close to you.If they do get close, you will of course use fire blaze to knock them back. Its as easy as that. :)
From lvl36-45 nunvince will be too damn good so I suggest doing it over and over and over again.Until you can finish whole dungeon,do just first room.It will take you only 10 mins and will be good exp.Might cost some money though.Once youre able to finish whole dung you will get good exp in last room on Frizhkans and extra 50k exp when u finish it.
At lvl45-55 I suggest going to Castor/Norak 2nd floor, find a good aoe party at a spot with lots of Peccares/lasputin flails and grind grind grind. :)
You will notice that at these lvls we keep increasing our lvl36 skills, elemental masteries, energy mastery and buffs. We will skip lvl51 skills for now because they are quite useless in pve and we WILL NOT increase lvl of our 36 skill over lvl5.Reason for that is following-as you increase 36 skills cooldown time for those skills increase as well.As long as skills are under lvl6,you can keep enemy locked in your aoe because there is no gap between casting those 3 skills. If you raise them to lvl6,cooldown will become too big and you will lose lock on your enemies and it will be harder to time the casting.Thats why we will keep lvl36 skills on lvl5.

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl39) - put 1 point into each lvl36 skill
(lvl40) - put 1 point into energy mastery,mana force
(lvl42) - put 1 point into each lvl36 skill
(lvl45) - put 1 point into energy mastery and each lvl36 skill
(lvl48) - put 1 point into each lvl36 skill
(lvl50) - put 1 point into mana force and energy mastery
(lvl51) - put 1 point into sieze nimbus
(lvl52) - put 1 point into sieze nimbus
(lvl53) - put 1 point into lightning mastery
(lvl54) - put 1 point into ice mastery
(lvl55) - put 1 point into fire mastery

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl55:

8.From lvl55-81
At this point we will just keep using the same lvl36 skills until we get the hell bored out of them and increasing our elemental masteries to reach the full dmg potential of our aoe. From lvl55-60 best way to lvl is in Crespo.Find a good aoe party and keep grinding.Aoe parties are a bit different here though. In Crespo you find a good spot with a lot of mobs, get few tankers/summoner in party and segnale. As a mage, you will stand on spot with segnale and hunters while tankers/summoners will pull mobs on you.As a mage you do high damage and you will always be welcome in a party.
From lvl60 you can enter crespo dungeon and I suggest doing that asap.It gives great and fast exp.As a mage you can start doing B runs straight away, just remember to keep your distance from mobs and and dont start attacking mobs before tankers pull them on tehmselves.I recommend doing few C runs if you never did crespo dungeon before to get accomodated with the map and mobs.At lvl70 if you get too bored of dungeon you can spend some time in draco desert doing lvl70 commision quests which will bring you both good exp and money, and at lvl75 you can go to requies plains and grind/farm on tigers(lakers). From lvl75 you can also start doing dungeon A runs in Crespo which will bring you better exp but be aware of mobs there because they are much stronger then in B runs.
At lvl80 you can finally go to Python. It is great place both for fast lvling and awesome farming.Best way there is to find a party with segnale and driver on far east spot of the map or far west spot. Those are the places where most mobs spawn and you will lvl very fast there if youre rdy to spend few hours per day in parties. At lvl81 you will finally get those long awaited skills.

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl55-75) - max out elemental masteries(to lvl10),you can do it in any order you want depending on which skills you like more and use more.
(lvl78) - get flame burning, ice blanket and cruelty lightning
(lvl81) - get blast phoenix, freeze spirit and thunder spear

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl81:

9.From lvl81-91
Now when you got lvl81 skills things become a bit different. You got your first and only aoe freeze which is damn useful cause it freezes a living soul in a pretty hard radius,it will be most used skill in parties. You also got blast phoenix which is one of highest dmg skills in the game and thunder spear which also got nice dmg and good range of effect(all around you and in front of you).Main location of lvling is still Python. You will stay there until lvl90 and the problem is that all mobs in python(outside of castle) are 50% resistant to fire. That kinda makes your fire skills useless. Therefore you can forget about blast phoenix and fire fury while ure in python. In Python you will use skills in this order - freeze spirit-thunder strike-ice storm-lightning circle. And when youre out of Python you can use freeze spirit-thunder strike-blast phoenix-ice storm-lightning circle.Notice that fire fury is missing because 5 skills are enough to close the gap between cooldowns. After lvl90 I assume you will want to lvl in Python castle dungeon called Magic field of Crevice. ;)
Just remember mobs in lvl90 dung do a very high curse dmg so remember to get some extra equipment with curse resistance ;)
Since fire skills are kinda useless,we will put points only into freeze spirit and thunder strike, while rest of the points can go into lightning circle and ice storm now when cooldowns arent that important anymore.

SKILLS ORDER:
(lvl82) - put 1 point into ice storm
(lvl83) - put 1 point into lightning circle
(lvl84) - put 1 point into ice storm
(lvl85) - put 1 point into lightning circle
(lvl87) - put 1 point into freeze spirit and thunder spear
(lvl88) - put 1 point into ice storm
(lvl89) - put 1 point into lightning circle
(lvl90) - put 1 point into ice storm
(lvl91) - put 1 point into lightning circle

This is how your skill tree should look at lvl91:

10.From lvl92
Voila, now youre finally lvl92 and you can reset and restructure you skill tree. You will get awesome new skills that will kick ass in both pve and pvp.Dont expect to be better then other classes in pvp, because it requires a lot of skills to kill anyone in pvp,no matter how strong your skills are.Mage maybe isnt the strongest pvper in the game, but if you train hard theres nothing you cant do. ;)

Just for your consideration I will add a screenshot of how I think your skills should look like at lvl92 after reset:

11.Stats and weapon
As for stats, you should go for 3/2 spr/heal build, meaning you should put 3 spr and 2 heal per each lvl and only as much str as your weapon requires. If you want more power and being able to kill mobs even faster go for 4/1 spr/heal build, but have in mind that you will have to keep enemies away from you if thats what you want. Also,if you use 4/1 build you will probably need to reset stats as well at lvl92,at least if you want to be good in pvp.
For weapon, wand is a MUST.Staff sucks,it requires much more str which is useless for mage and it gives 4% block which cant measure with all the extra damage that wand will give you.Just listen to my advice and use wand, epsecially 1-92. ;)

------------------------------------------------------------

There you go.I hope you enjoyed this guide and I hope it will help you in your future adventures and lvling.Even though skill tree is similar to those of some other guides available,it does have differences and is made strictly based on my own expirience from 2Moons.Screenshots of skill trees are taken from MMOsite skill calculator.
If you got any questions or feedback on this guide feel free to reply in this thread and I will try to answer you as best I can.

HF and gl with lvling! ;)

Its lvl81 aoe yes, just as all lvl81 skills. Its most useful dps skill at 81-92 imo since not many mobs have lightning resistance and it has very nice range and aoe.

Also I didnt mention in guide that lvl81 freeze spirit isnt 2 seconds freeze(like its written on mmosite) but 2x2sec freeze. It is similar to curse field that segnale got,all mobs in certain radius(quite big) get 2xdmg+2x 2secs freeze. In other words, enemies do melt after 2 secs but they get frozen again on next hit. :)
Will add that to guide in next update. ;)

Lvl92 fire skill(infernall pillar) is bugged. It should do 3x dmg and it does only 1x.Really a bad bug making one of most useful pvp skills useless dmg wise. :(
