New Street Fighter Goes Online, Mouse-only.

Japanese publisher Daletto, the subsidiary of Capcom and Games Arena, has just announced a new MMORPG Street Fighter Online: Mouse Generation. And it is anticipated to start beta in Spring of 2008. No word on a version for non-Japanese gamers.

I think many of you may be familiar with the classic FTG Street Fighter, while the "Mouse Generation" means PC title will have you control your characters completely via the mouse: sliding left and right moves the character, slide up jumps and left- and right-clicks give different attacks. Special moves, as you may guess, come via making combinations of slides and clicks. There will be community features based around fighting online.


Another interesting feature of this game is the ability to interchange body parts on your character. The game is reportedly about fighting Revoltech toys, which is a line of actual toys planned to be sold alongside the game. As IGN predicts, you could have the head and torso of Chun-Li, the arms of Zangief and the legs of Ryu (the gender identity issues are plentiful).

Thats awesome, I'm a fan of street fighter, will check this out.

I love fighting games but after playing Infinity, I'm not that about if using just my mouse to fight it good. Kwonho, now that was good, you could pull a good combo anytime, but in Infinity you have to click a few times and leave yourself open before you can get to the good part and the opponent can also escape while you're doing that and counterattack you. I'll definitely try it but since it's in Japanese, then not this spring.

circling the mouse for fireball? 1/4 arc up and down then up again for upper cut??
