Guild Wars 2 is the sequel to the Guild Wars series which is currently in development by ArenaNet. The game will feature a new game engine, changes to character development and the PvP system. Guild Wars 2 is expected to go into beta test in the second half of 2008. No release date has been announced.

OOOO can't wait, I was just about to get Guild wars anyway, may as well wait for this? Or get the originals also?!

I better off getting the GW campaign first bcuz you kno wat the game style is than GW2 expected to be more of an mmo. The first 3 campaigns are more unique than possibly GW2, but u gotta try the 3 campaigns! you dont hav to just saying....... But yeh im also excited about GW2 beta.

My only concern about this is that it turns into more of a generic MMO, in the sense that power comes from level, not from skill. Hopefully that won't happen, and this will be a great sequel to the original franchise that we've come to love.

yes, I like more levels but please, gw developers, don't transform that skill based game on a lvl 190 pk vs lvl 10 newbies game :S
