(beware this is a very long post)

WoW has been compared to just about any MMO out there free or not.
ive even heard people say MS was a clone of WoW
But is WoW slowely dying?

When the release of Wotlk was anounced poeple rushed to their local game store to pick up a copy. It was the hottest game out there after a week or so. A few months later alot of WoW fans were disapointed about the expansion. Though blizzard claims they received thousands of more subscriptions when they released WoW, they lost just as many, if not more.

I myself didnt have the expansion at the time so i couldnt comfirm if it was bad or good. But after some of the reveiws i was tempted to see if they were anywhere near true. A thing that stuck out to me in all the reveiws was that "World of Warcraft has the most unbalanced pvp system" that always stcuk in my head. A few weeks later i decide to buy the game ( i have a lvl 70 hunter shammy and mage) a couple of months later i got my mage and shammy to lvl 80 i thought the new skills were apealing and the DK class looked nice aswell.

A few weeks later i would hate this game lol seriously. Burning crusade had so much and i was expecting this expansion to be worth while. It was opposite.

I personaly hate what the game has become. More beggers then ever more kiddies THAN EVER (serisously so many).

WoW is dying slowley but surely its tired out look and feel of the game is simply that, tired.

its PVP is the most unbalanced PVP i have ever seen in any game in my entire life. Rogues and DKs have FAR to much PVP viability.

and really with WOW pvp is everything becuase the new raids they put in to make raid fans shut up and stop qqing are simply garbage.

PVP is what made WoW, WoW. And the PVP will be the end of WoW . everyone month WoW loses an average of 619 sub scirptions that means in about 2 months they are losing 1k players. I didnt really want to quit after playing this game but i would have felt like i was wasting my money on a
50$ game just to quit ina few months. They are trying to add new content like the new tier sets but i havent met anyone yet that actualy likes the sets lol their ugly and look like they put them together over night.

all in all, WoW will die eventualy becuase the paying 15$ a month isnt worth what wotlk has to offer. WoW is not a begginer friendly game becuase poeple that have been playing WoW since BC have like all the best armor there is and for a noob to go into a bg in hopes of geting some points for PVP armor your better off not even trying that lol theres pros in there that will kill you so fast

Another bad part about WoW is that the valerous raid tier set is FAR more viable than the deadly glad set for PVP and PVE. Heaven for bid PVP gear be good for PVP

TL:DR I don't think WoW is dying. It might be losing players but defiantly not dying.

Well I dont think its dying, I just contributed to the new user catagory, I just started a few weeks ago and I am enjoying it alot. + I play on a Eu server which has a low to high pop and that still seems to be alot of people I can imagine the FULL servers :P.

I dont think it will die very soon.

I think wow will never die

2,677,227 minutes played a day this is only register from people who have xfire running in the background. Imagine this could be 1/3 of the whole population playing this game.

The reason of losing subs might be caused by the financial problems on the world atm. People are willing to think about more important things then about a game.

Holy hell that is around 5 years of gameplay in one day And thats just the people playing on xfire. I myself dont use it and IM sure many others dont aswell. Thats an almost disturbing statistic.

I quit WoW recently for 2 reasons.
1 - It was hurting my real life
2 - The expantion sucks, it lacks something... and that something i cant put my finger on, during the first expantion (TBC) i had a "pull" to play the game, achive certain goles and become powerful.

(Near enough) all my friends have quit the game for reasons similar to mine, WOTLK was a huge let down (Like AoC ) - but i have noticed alot of new faces - so i would say WoW is on a stale mate - for every seasoned player it loses 2 new players take there place.

While you make a good argument, as long as Blizzard keeps rolling out an new content whatsoever, people will always be too addicted not to play. I don't think its really dieing right now as much as its just nearing the end of available sources to draw content from.

Once ulduar comes out, and if they tune it correctly alot of the players that left will probably come back.

WoW will probably not die for at least another decade or more! Remember, they are about to add Icecrown Citadel (Arthas). Plus, they have at least 5 or 6 more expansions planned out. Although, I'm EXTREMELY looking forward to playing Aion.

Wow will die down but will never die, look at the game I have been playing for 10 years now? Everquest hehe, that has not died in 10 years so I think Wow will be here to stay for just as long, they will just lower the server count if too many leave them, other then that I play just fine on high end pop servers with lots and lots of people all around at any level, just my two cents, have fun all.

WoW isn't going to die anytime soon, being a player of more than 4 years myself it most definitely isn't going anywhere. And wotlk on the other hand, just rekindled my interest in WoW easily, I was let down with TBC myself because I felt it was just too different *i'm a lol-lore nerd* while some parts of TBC actually played out well *ala Magtheridon/Black Temple/Serpent Shrine Cavern/Kharazhan* the rest was just too in a sense, extraterrestrial for me. But Wotlk on the other hand, is just amazing.

-And to respond to something said before me, yes I do miss the good *pull and cc* method for clearing instances which is sadly lacking on Wotlk. Hopefully Ulduar changes that, I haven't checked it out yet myself*
