this is a email send by a SRO player and now i post it to u, i wanna konw whether it happen to u.
pls say someting about it!
Hello,
I am writing to inform you of the situation on a free MMO deemed enough, Silkroad Online.
I want, if possible, that this information might appear on your site, so that the players are aware.
In recent weeks, a rift existed on the official website of Joymax, the company that develops and manages the game Via this vulnerability, it was possible to hack into the accounts of players just by knowing the login.
During the past two weeks, many accounts have been hacked on multiple servers in the game
Two days ago, the site rev6.com, a site run by fans of the game and offering various tools, revealed the existence of this loophole to the inactivity of Joymax to resolve it.
They posted the 1st stage of the method hack, threatening Joymax to disclose more, making the hack accessible to everyone. The aim is to move Joymax so that the fault was repaired.
Joymax did not respond, Rev6 has revealed more and many other accounts have been pirated. That's débandade on all forums on the game, users who spent 2 years in the game, who have spent hundreds of euros left without anything.
Yesterday, the fault was repaired (summarily according to people who know). Following that, Joymax posted on the official website a press release stating that the hacks were not their fault, that there was no fault on their site and third-party sites (ie Rev6) were running the rumor a loophole existed. I can tell you that it's disinformation, I have already tested the fault and it was very real.
The bottom line is that this game is a leak, you should inform users: servers are filled with bots, making it difficult connection, the lags are ubiquitous, the game is not at all secure and that the company manages has absolutely nothing to do with these clients.
I intend to post this message on all the forums and websites dealing with the MMO.
Thanks
Sincerely
I am Coffee Fish here. Nice to meet u.
