Im not sure if everyone knows this or everyone has already knew about it but, just for the heads up, the server is currently down as we speak.

The reason why it has a sudden inspection is because of gold duping. Happened in Babel server about two days ago but was caught today. The dupe was done by Fable Guild and they had already confessed to it. Details are linked here - http://www.silkroadtavern.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24213

So to summarize it all, the story is simply, Fable Guild got tired of bot/scam/bug etc that has been going on for a very long time and since the GMs arent doing much, or much less anything, they figured maybe a large public message might give the GM some sort of a wake up call by duping gold and simply unbalanced the economical system.

However the question now is, what they did, issit another act of entertainment or maybe a justified one? Or perhaps both?

I think its down right redicolous wat kind of losers go around & dupe gold for there own bloody entertainment it is stupid & ruins the game for everyone... Stupid kids -.-

Oh trust me, i feel like killing them with my bare hands but bahh.. since its already happened, i really hope this would be a real hard lesson for the GMs and especially Joymax..

In my opinion the GM's only took action because they didnt profit from it. If they made $5 I bet they wouldn't have cared. GM's seem to disregard the people who play legitly... It's kind of like showing a kid candy then eating it in front of them. They keep saying we will take action against those abusing 3rd party programs and then throwing events for high level users only. Heh I got 1 account banned for trash talking GM's if I have the conversation still saved I'll post it here.

Also another thing.. I have people globaling "Why GM's not ban botters?

this is my response. they wont ban bots because they get to much money from you people globaling about them.

like what xael said, the GMs and Joymax is simply taking everything likely. There was once a Notice with - "Buying silk using ingame gold is HIGHLY DISCOURAGE and will result in your account getting ban."

Highly discourage?? I mean cmon, by using the word discourage itself, you are clearly stating that - "yes u are allowed to do it,but not recommended, coz if we catch u, u are ban". bahh... anws my point is simply they are not doing what they are saying and what they are supposed to do.. All they did was giving us some mixed signals etc.

While I'm glad that it is exposing more and more of the GM's and Joymax's incompetitance, inability, and refusal to do anything other than stop people from out producing their legit playing gold farming bots...*takes a breath* It was wrong to royally screw up the game and probably cost those servers several billion in gold to people who sold their items, and maybe even those people's accounts.

Joymax take the hint, people are pissed at your lack of attention towards botters, CCF'ers, and so on.

You've got people illegally charging credit cards to you, which YOU SHOULD be taking the hit for.

You've got an army of bots on all servers, one of which was captured in a screenshot while a GM was in character on the server next to it.

Lord knows what else is going on.

Your servers are laggy. It's nice you open new servers, why not do character transfers to get more people off the over worked ones?

You've got 3 or 4 ISP's out there that are still blocked.

The only thing I've seen fixed was the Paypal, that one took 15 minutes. Sure you could spare that much time?

Joymax deserves whatever annoyances they get. And unfortunately, many innocent players will get in the way and ulitmately be caught in some type of cross fire.

They wont make trasnfer character because then conflicting names would be deleted. they would have to do full server sweeps of all characters and guilds. opening new servers isnt helping anything all it does is promote new people to come into the game and bot. Besides I dont care if the GM's hate those users for gold dupping beleive it or not its easily done =P me and 4 other freinds know how to but ultimately we just dont use it. gm's would just love to crack down on legit users because botters buy more tickets and potion sacks than users do.

also gm gargamel said botters are not their concern... thats a lie. whenever bots start to crowd a server the server in response will raise prices since the bots have overwhelming amounts of gold. When groups of people are rich the general thought is ALL the server community is rich.

wow, after reading IrishDragon post, i realised the damaged done is way severe than anyone could imagine.. Billions of dollars involved since everyone is affected especially those who bought silk, gold ticket etc. Furthermore, this duping was believed to start about 2 days ago according to Fable's confession and they infact dupe billions of gold and actually distribute it and even buy stuff with it!

So its like a chain reaction.. To get to the source they need to clear the small pawn and that is by banning them. So anyone caught holding dupe gold, innocent or not are banned in the mean time until they seek the true source. To fixed the economy, they need to do a rollback on the server but gosh.. its been 2 days.. thatll be like 42hours of gold exchanging so 1 things for sure, its a bloody major problem and definitely one hell of a rollback if it ever happens...

I hope Olympus is clean of dupe gold... dang.. seriously.. Joymax needs to listen to what we have to say and stop neglecting the players..

I said billions in gold, not billions of dollars.

If it was billions of Dollars, I'd be invading Korea right now. XD

lol ok then millions of dollars or maybe thousands of dollars xD.. bahh pardon me.. i havent slept the whole day with the server down.. it aint helping much lol.. but yea my point is still there, joymax would be on a loss since its a whole server infection.. so yeap.. joymax! listen to the players!

Would they ban thousands of accounts?

Would they continually roll back the server?

Would they start taking the International servers more seriously (as far as their level of programming quality) ?

Would they ACTUALLY improve the gaming experience by removing the bots, and cracking down harder and more efficiently on the CCF'ers?

What would a company do if you and thousands of others could back them into a corner?

Joymax doesnt have the resolve to ban thousands or even hundreds of accounts because they're only interested in Ksro or Tsro... but omg the Ksro GM's are SOOOO much more active its crazy. they through so many more events and i've seen them stand with regular users and talk to them... why arent isro GM's like that *sigh*

Because they are hot boxing ISRO and KSRO

(i.e. They've got two machines, one being used for KSRO, and the other one set up for ISRO so they can copy and paste their 'do not buy silk from anyone but us or else' every hour. Then it's back to the machine with KSRO)
