What race and class fits you best

The purpose of the guide made by Vendayn is to recopilate information and thoughts to help new players, it's a tip, for free, so I think people should be more thankful. Do you played the game in f2p mode for a week? First try it and then tell your real opinion, because nobody can tell you if you will like the f2p mode or not withouth playing it. I'm downloading it just now, so I can't tell my opinion for now, but anyway I have hope that f2p game mode will be a succes.

i will not be playing it f2p since i already have 2 paid accounts that i rarely play, this month im wasting time in fallen earth, elven legacy, other m, drakensang (before the sequel lands), unreal, lobbing some jizz in global agenda on weekends, and pissing on alganon when all else fails until civ V comes out which should occupy me until lego universe launches. there is not enough in lotro to do to get me to go back, id sooner play eq2 MORE.

i have played every class, mastered every craft, and run every raid..what more do you REALLY think i am going to get from this game? its EASY, it makes any other game on the market look complicated...ok not the ones that run your character around for you, but still. it is for the housewives and casual players, not people like me. i dont think the f2p model will even work for it really, for 1 thing most people who play f2p games do not have rigs that can handle the game maxed, so they dont get the benefit of the graphics, the race selection is boring without being able to do monster play, and the simplistic quest patterns border on tedious. most f2p players want pvp in games (i dont know why that is, mmorpg pvp is to me like inflatable **** dummies, sure you can do it, but its nowhere near the satisfaction of the real deal) and they are getting none of that from lotro, even if they are allowed in the moors, @ 50 you are somebodys +1 and nothing more. also most f2p players are anime fans (as this site has alluded to numerous times) and lotro has none of that appeal. so yea as much as i would love to sit there and watch the house burn down, i have way better things to do, i just hate seeing info copied and pasted, use the fkn forums, everything has been discussed there MANY MANY times. why put the same info in 500 places on the net? so this site can generate hits? its REDUNDANT. also information should be correct, if it cant be correct dont bother posting it.

Everybody has his own opinion, I know it, and we think it's good to have guides here in the forum (not all guides, you know) for newbies to get fast information if they need it, just this. Some people may like the game and some not, that's all. If you like to play other games, is your opinion and your games, I don't want to tell you to play the game.
Thanks for sharing your experience of the game, maybe Vendayn will read it and correct some things in the guide thanks to you.

It's a easy game? well, I like this kind of "relaxing" games (because of easy), If I want other challenging game, I will play Guild Wars or FPS games, If I want relax, LOTRO ^^.

I put this information up here to help people who may be interested in LOTRO and need help starting. Yes, there is a lot of work to do on this guide still, but I put the base of it up here. But it seems you aren't a big fan of LOTRO these days, anyway.

Yes, many of this information can be found elsewhere. And some of it still needs to be corrected. BUT, you have to go through a bunch of sites or forum posts/threads to find a lot of it, with this, I made it in one nice post. This guide is supposed to help people, and thats my intent anyway.

As for Man being the best. Yes, it is...ability wise. But it has nowhere near the cool or fun factor of the Dwarves or Elves, or even the Hobbits. But if you are looking to min/max, then yes, Man would be better. But I myself would rather go with the cool and fun factor. Since that is why I play games, personally. I mean, I find a Dwarf is so much cooler and better sounding than a Man Guardian. And the Dwarf fits the Guardian role more than the Man does. At least in terms of appearance. But maybe thats just me.

dude you can find ALL this info on 1 place, the games forums. even the opinions.

while i do think it sucks, playing anything but man pretty much gimps you. cool is opinion, the man heal is a cold hard fact. the only FACTUAL advantage (and this is grasping at straws) to playing hobit or dwarf is the ILLUSION that they run faster, which can make the game feel like it is progressing faster, but its just an illusion.

it isnt even that i hate the game, if i was 78 years old and someones grandma i might even find it enthralling, but it is easy beyond relaxing, it treats you like you are retarded! ever since they put the quest indicators in  the game has been in retard mode, even my friends who still play it (and have more capped characters than me) agree it is EASY. ofcourse once you paid that lifetime sub you may as well keep going right?

i also think this guide is a mess as far as layout, but hey i didnt put it together (note i didnt use the word write since it is all copy pasted) you could sum up each race in 1 sentence for example, screw pros and cons, elves are best for magic based (feel free to argue that dwarves get more crits but read on), humans ..well everything else, hobbits have the easiest starting area, and dwarves look the coolest but with the exception of maybe RK are worthless.

its never about minmaxing (whatever that stupid buzz-word refers to) its about survivability, every race but human sacrifices that BECAUSE OF THE LORE. it is the age of man, the elves are dying bla bla bla.

best looking game on the market? no doubt always has been. deep? no, infact exactly the opposite.

The game is hardly worth playing even when you have all the payed for content, I imagine a free, restricted version cant be anywhere as good as the already not that great paid version, so... My answer is none. Lawl.

That is actually my personal favorite class in LOTRO, as well. And an all-rounder in groups...Captains stay very busy.

I havent played this game in months, might have to see what has been going on since then.

Yeah, I stopped for a while too. Didn't have enough time. I'm going to start up again soon, though.

I like the shire(Hobbit) opening quests best.

Hunters solo really well if you know how to play them. This post has a ring of falsehood.

This guide is also is quite a bit old. Hunters do rather good these days. Most seem to still agree Guardians and well-played Wardens are the best. But don't take my word for it...I haven't played LOTRO in half a year. I only go by what I've seen said on the forums, these days.

Having said that...Hunters are (from what I've heard) near the top. And in my experience, quite fun to play.

What is the best class for a Hobbit?

I think burglar would be good for a hobbit, that is a common combo. Or minstrel if you want to heal.

which class efficient on hunting mob? fast casting and wide area attacking?

Your definitely looking at the Champion...fast abilities and lots of AOE attacks.

What race and class should I use and stick with I need a class that is fun to play and does a good amount of damage(melee or ranged)?

Yeah, Champions are very fast attackers. Very good mobility too.

Not very good buffs though if I recall correctly. Unless they changed it...they are just for pure dps and off-tanking.
