DN KR 25th Mar Update Note

Dragon Nest KR updated new contents on 25th Mar 2015, including Assassin & Lencea skill balance, dark banquet hall season 2, new fashion etc.



Assassin Skill Balance

Assassin

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced

Chaser

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced

Ripper

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced

Raven

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced
- In Ladder match, MP recovery is reduced.

Bringer

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced
- In Ladder match, MP recovery is reduced.

Night Explosion
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.

Plasma Burst
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.

Illusion Strike
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.
* (PVP) CD changed to 17sec.

Shadow Focus
* (PVP) AOE reduced

Pact of Ajna
* (PVP) The normal attack of Ninja Cat is reduced.
* (PVP) The skill CD of Ninja Cat is increased.

Chakra Cure
* (PVP) The CD is fixed at 60sec and will not be reduced with level.
* (PVP) The debuff being dispelled is changed from 10 to 1, at base level, and up to max of 3 debuffs can be cleared at higher level.

Ring Strike
* (PVP) The descending speed of Ring Strike upon touching enemies is increased.

Chakra Illusion
* (PVP) The CD is fixed at 30sec and will not be reduced with level.

Blessing of Ajna
* (PVP) Ninja Raccoon buff effect is reduced.

Line of Darkness
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.
* (PVP) Skill damage reduced.
* (PVP) Superarmor break reduced.

Dark Conviction
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.

Light Fury

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced
- In Ladder match, MP recovery is reduced

Sunshine Spark
* (PVP) The damage increase and duration of the debuff is reduced.

Ring Strike EX
* (PVP) The descending speed of Ring Strike upon touching enemies is increased.

Chakra of Light
* (PVP) The buff effect and duration reduced.

Abyss Walker

- In Colosseum and Ladder match, phy, mag defences are reduced
- In Ladder match, MP recovery is reduced

Night Explosion EX
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.

Plasma Burst EX
* (PVP) Burn damage and duration reduced.
* (PVP/PVE) The float effect induced by the skill is reduced slightly.

Night Fall EX
* (PVP) AOE reduced

Chakra of Abyss
* (PVP) The buff effect and duration reduced.


Lencea Skill Balance

Lencea

- In Colosseum, VIT is reduced.

Counter Spin
* (PVP/PVE) Superarmor defence reduced.

Piercer

- In Colosseum, VIT is reduced.

Lollipop Chop
* (PVP) Invincible frame duration for the skill is reduced.

Rough Sweep
* (PVP) Superarmor defence reduced.

Flurry

- In Colosseum, VIT is reduced.

Spinning Skewer
* (PVP) Invincible frame duration for the skill is reduced.
* (PVP) Superarmor defence reduced.

Shutter Bounce EX
* (PVP) Superarmor defence reduced.

Rough Sweep EX
* (PVP) Superarmor defence reduced.

Stinger Breezer

- In Colosseum, VIT is reduced.

    No changes on Chaser? They are completely broken on pvp due to their short CD CTS fast animation skills.

    Is it bad of me to think the Bringers's nerfs are awesome? Cuz F**K them.
    And lencea nerf? Well....tbh i think it's somewhat justifiable. I mean....They can execute their skills in Switch gravity!!!!!

    I guess the "floating" Lencea glitch was recently fixed. Here in DNSEA, the fix was applied in the recent patch.

    Costume collection system (Read bloody waste of development time). When you have the full set, you get a title. Upon viewing other players' characters, you can also see the full set of costumes they have collected.

    There are a bunch of other updates in this patch but I am kinda lazy to translate. I'll just post the 2 most important ones

    - Trade Count +1 Cash Item

    Only works on items that can be traded. This should mean FD plates...


    - DN 5 Year Anniversary Event

    Lazy to elaborate. Think of it like a mini Leica event. Clear non-Mino, non-Memorial nests, get some fragments. Use these to trade at the event NPC vendor for some stuff (plate pouch etc.), including S armor.

    These armor do not break upon failure to enhance, max +10, higher enhancement rate than other gear. Can only be enhanced from the gems from the event NPC vendor.

      New equalized/comp-on stats for Assassins and Lencea after the nerfs.

      Assassin:


      Physical Defense: 46% -> 37%
      Magic Defense: 41% -> 33%
      Ignore the HP, at some point a few months ago, devs stealth buffed everyone's HP by +20%, and I'm missing 2 levels in HP boost passive because not Lv. 80. With maxed HP passive, they have about 98k HP.

      But now Assassins went from having some of the highest defenses of any class in PvP to some of the lowest. 37% physical defense is average (below average once you take HP into account), while 33% magic defense makes them the squishiest class in the game VS magic attacks, only mercs have lower at 31% but they have like 50k more HP.



      Lencea:


      HP: Dropped from 140k+ -> 112k with maxed HP passive.

      Her HP went from being Warrior-level to Kali/Sorceress-level now.

      So where is the Alchemist nerf? DN is messed up.

      Alchemist is a very underplayed class compared to Assassin.

      Blame all those Bringers who bandwagoned so hard the devs couldn't ignore them dominating ladder in every version, their mere existence also masked those of Alchemists and Dark Summoner.

        I don't know if it's because I lag with my 350ms, or the alchemists are just OP. Us assassins were squishy before especially against alchemists, their burns, freeze, debuff, slip, explosions, I just cant move, and just die in 5 secs, but now it's over. We got nerfed so bad already :( this is 2x. Ill just create a new class.

        What part of equalized/comp-on do you not understand? Freaking read before replying.

        Everyone already knows ladder stats are ridiculously stupid anyway, what with how every class has the same stat caps. Tell me how it's fair for everyone to have 150k HP there, which allows Assassins to double their HP from comp-on -> Ladder while most other classes experience a minimal HP increase, considering the only thing that kept Assassins somewhat balanced in comp-on was their low HP.

        In fact, I wouldn't be surprised that since the devs don't seem to be aware about how they designed ladder stats, the parts of the patch notes mentioning nerfs to stats in ladder might not actually matter at all.

        This update will most assuredly destroy them in comp-on though. Well, the Bringer branch at least, they'll basically die as soon as they run into any magic class now. Chaser branch still has some of the dumbest utility in the game. Any PvP expert knows those defense drops are HUGE, especially coupled with their low HP.

        Other observations.

        - Dark Burn:
        Old: All dark burn stacks now inflict 30% of physical damage for 10 seconds.
        New: All dark burn stacks now inflict 15% of physical damage for 5 seconds.

        Ouch... Nerfed to 25% of what it used to be. Seeing 1k dark burn ticks in ladder was dumb though, so this is fully warranted.

        - Dark Line Lv. 13:
        Old: 416% + 1770
        New: 337% + 1327

        I decided to test utility nerfs, as well as grab other values.

        - Devs misplaced camera lock under Plasma Burst, that skill was already camera locked from the start. It's really on Night Explosion. You can still swing camera around but the attack direction won't change after the initial hit. Which means it just went from one of the braindead safest skills to use in the game to being as punishable as Goddess Relic outside of combo.

        - Blessing of Ajna values got chopped in half (formerly 28% to dark/16% to light)

        - Ring Strike hit rate basically got chopped in half.

        - Plasma Burst inflicts standard knockdown now, not a high lift.

        - Didn't notice anything different about Nightfall.

        - Shadow Focus range was hugely nerfed on top of the camera lock. The range before was something like a 45 degree cone. Now it's like 30 degrees, if not even less. The range no longer matches the animation.

          I didn't refer the bringers in comp on rly. Because they are banned by alot of room in the server so I was talking about ladder. And really....They are like as tanky as cleric with running capability in ladder. But just forget it, I'm glad stupid bandwagoners left bringer class, made my day easier in ladder.
