FAQ of the Month:
-How to get free Rock of Blessing buff? (Freedom server only. >>Clicky<<)
-In this guide you will learn:
1) Important offensive stats: Finding the balance btw Matk-Crit-Fire%-FD
2) Important defensive stats
3) What crests to get: and what 3rd options to get for those crests
4) Which options to get on your gears.
5) Which prefix to add onto your gears.
1) Important Offensive Stats:
-First know that the Crit cap is reached at around 10K Crit for lv40 and 18k for lv50 and 33.3k for lv60.
-Matk: Focus on increasing this stat if you have no hope of reaching the crit cap at your target level. [~5000 base crit @lv40 and ~11000 base crit@ lv50.]
If you are close to reaching the crit cap; then sacrifice your matk and focus solely on increasing your crit.
-Crit: In fighting mobs with high defense, this is the stat that differentiates a weak Seleana from a strong one.
-In terms of overall dmg in lv50abyss stages; 4.5k matk with 17k Crit >>>> 8k matk with 5k Crit.
-A critical strike on a lvl50 target will more than double/triple your non-crit attacks, provided that they are not resisted by the target.
-At lv24 and 32cap, you can ignore crit, because---
#1 mobs at these levels do not have high phy/mag defense; which means that the dmg from crit is not much higher than your norm attack.
-A critical strike on a lv24~32 target will probably increase your dmg by x1.2~1.4 the non-crit dmg.
-Fire element % Max this only after reaching the Crit cap at your target level.
- with the Hell fire passive skill, you can start stacking Fire% after reaching10k crit (for lv50).
-@ lv40 you can stack fire% after reaching 4~5k base crit.
-Its possible to stack ~85% fire/ice element in dncn now.
-Final Damage (FD) Recommended for the rich..
*FD stat comes after
having increased your crit and after Fire%
-With the help from the Hellfire passive, Ele's in general are able to stack ~40%++ Fire element while maintaining the required crit cap (10~11k crit@lv50 w/ hellfire) + 20%FD boost (A grade nest gear @lvl cap [e.g. Mantix7 for lv40cap or Bishopx7 for 50cap] + FDcrest @lvl cap + Manti accessory set,, gives approx.20% FD dmg boost for a target @your lvl cap.)
-When is a good time to start stacking FD? (Assuming you don't have a L-rank brilliant ring.. if you do have one, then stack element% before FD. Element% is much more cost effective and stronger.)
-things to consider are:
1)Once you start stacking FD, your goal is to reach the FD cap. (you will NOT see a significant increase in your dmg output by adding 1~2 FD 3rd option crests...which is very costly.)
2)An easy way to boost FD is to use Apo accessoriesx2 (122+122 =244FD)
3)Manti accessory set gives 10%Element+61FD
-So going from Manti acc.set →Apox2 will result in the gain of 183FD at the cost of 10%element.
-Say you have 20%FD dmg boost to begin with:
-At around 35~40% FD boost (achieved by using Apox2), you can make up the 10% lost fire element.
-Therefore, if you plan on stacking FD crests...you might start after you've completed the 7xNest gear+ 2xApo accessory set + your lvl cap FD crest.
-Int: the more the better, get this to increase your matk and total MP.
2) Important Defensive Stats
These are the stats you must raise for better survivability.
-DEF recommended @lv50 cap, for those using lv50A/S gears. (quite good now that we got a huge boost to our lv50 gears.)
-lv50cap try to get 5k Phy Def by adding a crest.. your Mdef should be well over 5k from 50A set.
-1300def apparently gives 90% dmg reduction.
-Agi The more the better. Will not directly contribute to your damage out put, however, it’ll increase your Critical and Critical resist; both of which are key stats for a mage. -Hp: The more the better. -Vit: The more the better, get this to increase HP.
-Mp: The more the better. Dry mana=dead. Mp regen is important to prevent mana from drying. -Crit Resist --- Very important stat. Strikes that hurt you the most (and perhaps 1hit KO you in nests) are those attacks that Crit on you.
-From what I have seen it looks like the Critical strike penetrates through the Fire/Freezing shield.
As you know from reading Chaos’ post about Crit&Crit resist, Crit resist increases the chance of you reducing the dmg that you’ll receive from an enemy’s attack that has crit on you. NOW an interesting phenomenon happens with mages. Because our defense is very low, when we are able to resist those crits, we end up taking significantly less dmg than what the enemy’s non-crit attack (ie. Normal attack) would do to us.
---So you can think of yourself as the Ogre in apo nest.. you have super high Crit resist and a Very low def = your opponent’s critical strikes will deal less dmg than their non-critical strikes.
-Therefore, in general, higher crit resist=better survivability.
At lv40 aim for 12~15k Crit resist.
At lv50 aim for 20k -With the Hell fire passive, you can maintain a high critical, high Fire%, and high crit resist by using ---- 2xBrilliant ring+Fire8% +50A AGI Neck + Earring (gives 18~20k crit resist. )
Picture showing the difference in Dmg for: (from the left) Resisted Crit, Normal strike, and Critical Strike. [w/fire shield 50% dmg reduction. ] -Just look at the diff....739 vs. 16k @@
3) What Crest to Get
I recommend getting the A grade crests (with 3rd option if possible) for the following:
-Matk
-Int
-Agi
-Crit resist
-Vital
-Critical
-HP
-Final Damage
-----
good 3rd option plate choice for the extra 3 cash slots:
-Phy/Mag def plate (@lv50)
cheap3rd option plates
-delay resist
-delay
-So what 3rd option on the crest?
-Crit ---top priority until you can reach the crit cap.
-Vit or Matk ---after you have reached the crit cap, Vit for survivability and Matk for more dmg.
-FD ---if you have $$$.
4) Which Options to get on your gears.
What is the best option to add on my weapon?
-For players who have reached the crit cap (10k @lv40; 18k @ lv50), the recommended option is Fire%, agi, int. (matk%+ice+fire for S/L-rank gears)
-For those unable to reach the crit cap:
#1 Matk 5.7%+ Int+ Agi+ MP regen 17% +Critical 17% (or any variation with Matk 5.7% and Crit 17% combo) --this is also the best option to have for a hybrid ele that is stacking FD.
#2 Agi + Int +Critical 17% (and any variation of this… just need that crit+17% option) What is the best option to add onto my armor?
-For players who has reached the crit cap
AGI + INT + HP (lv50 to boost crit resist) or VIT + INT + HP (if you don't need crit resist)
-For those unable to reach the crit cap:
AGI + VIT+ HP or AGI + INT + HP
5) Which prefix to add onto your gears.
-On your weapons add Int prefix. (20% dmg boost to your fire! +other party member's dmg + ice duration.)
-The effects of INT prefix will stack with other players....which means your party can probably achieve -80% elemental debuff:)
-On the 4 armor parts add the Life prefix. (put up your maxed Fire shield and recover Hp.)
-Because no life prefix is available for the head gear, add the Mana prefix on helmet (Recover Mp for the shield)
Effectiveness of Life x4+ Mana head prefix
-it took me almost 6min to die.
-Note how the Mana prefix prevents Mana from decreasing w/the freezing shield on.

So, when u gonna post a Screenshot of your equipment?
You are awsum , but i'd really like to see your build of IG Screenshot, not simulators plus your equipment [SMILE=5]
-First know that the Crit cap is reached at around 10K Crit for lv40 target and 18k for lv50 mobs.
wasn't it 17k for lv50 mobs?
oh, and fd is good against lv50 mobs as well, you just need more of it(though it's not impossible to stack max, if you're not going for perfect crests).
Quick question if u dont mind answering. what's the crit cap for lvl 24/32? also is it worth it to increase crit at this level cap or stage of the game?
wasn't it 17k for lv50 mobs?
-They say its 17k, and 17k does feel like its capped, but 18k seems to give me more crit.
oh, and fd is good against lv50 mobs as well, you just need more of it(though it's not impossible to stack max, if you're not going for perfect crests).
-Yes thanks you're right I'll change that part. I have a FD elestra. Stacked around 1100FD then realized that going Critical was far more easier and cost effective.

Quick question if u dont mind answering. what's the crit cap for lvl 24/32? also is it worth it to increase crit at this level cap or stage of the game?
-Sorry I don't remember the crit cap for lv24 and32.
-I can tell you though, that it is not worth increasing the crit stat at lower lvl. This is because your target often has low phy/mag defense, which means that higher crit is not as efficient as stacking matk.
-However after lv40++ you will really need to boost your crit in order to deal decent dmg.
Finding the balance btw crit and matk is very difficult.
But in general, if its possible to reach the crit cap, then sacrificing ''some matk'' is well worth it.
For example, at lv40
-You'll probably want 3.5k Matk minimum. then focus on getting your crit to 10k.
-If you calculate, and your crit is not gonna reach 9k or even 8.5k, then don't bother with crit. It'll prolly be better for you to stack Matk.
At lv50
-you'll probably want 4k++ matk before you consider stacking the crit.
-If you calculate and your crit is not going to reach at least 15k++, then don't bother with crit. Better to go matk.
I do agree with Saurus on the point of crit resist.
I note that sometimes people suddenly die in sea dragon nest from breath and peck, when their def/mag def is supposedly able to withstand the attack.
This effect, i believe, is due to sea dragon actually might have rather high crit stats.
Having high crit resist, in this case, is almost as important as having high mag def and phy def because crit damage totally ignore your defence.
Crit resist can be regarded as your 3rd defence stats, other than phy and mag def.
Therefore, recently, i am stacking crit, in addition to dark and m.att, because agi stats is able to give additional crit resist.
Actually, this is where sea dragon armor parts shine because sea dragon armor has many additional potential stats, one of them is 9.75% of crit resist. While normally you would have HP+int+agi or HP+vit+int as your perfect potential armor, sea dragon armor can have HP+Int+agi+vit+crit resist all at the same time.... However, sea dragon armor tend to have lower def than 50A stuff, but the trade-off is well worth it....
* added to guide collection . Well done ^^
Just a suggestion: change the title to reflect the content of the guide. For example: "Choices of Gears, Potential and Stats for Elemental Lord"

Even if i stand to lose everything, I'll preserve your memory for the tomorrows yet to be. Come what may. I could breathe my last breath, and the world be crumbling into oblivion.
Hi I would like to ask if stacking Ma % IS much more efficient than stacking Element% at the lvl cap of 24/32? I am currently wearing my full elf queen set and I would like to know whether to potential both of my current elf queen weapons to ma% ,crit% ,str/agi/int% or to int% ,ice% ,fire%, as I would like to continue to use this Elf queen set till Ceberus Nest come out IN Dragonest Sea.
If stacking Ma% is much more better at this cap i would just change my brilliant rings with fire 12+% to a magician ruby ring with ma% as its potential.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated as it will might save me some gold on changing my gears ^^
Anyway nice guide in telling us how impt crit is, Just when I was about to switch everything to crit from ma%/elemement% haha but I guess not needed for now since we are currently at lv24 cap (soon to be a lv32 cap) as there is still a long way to ceberus nest for us ...
-at lower levels, Matk>>>everything else.
-Until lv40 you should go hybrid ele, using both ice and fire skills.
-since hybrid ele is stronger at your current level, the best option to put on your weapon at your lvl is INT, Fire8%, Ice8%.
-Once you reach lv40 this changes. At lv40+ the best option to put on your weapon will be 1st- Matk5.8%+Crit17% ; then once you have reached the crit cap change it to INT+Element%.
-On the accessories, Unless you are going pure Fire or pure ice, Matk5.8% is the best option.
-50A neck+ear accessories that give Agi+α.
-50A Fatal rings or Rings with +Crit17%
-Weapons with crit17%
-Agi+4.5% potential on your gears.
-lv40+ A grade crest:
-Fatal crest
-Agi crest w/crit as 3rd option
-and other important crests w/ crit as 3rd option.
-Also, cash shop costume that gives crit% bonus helps.
erm i find it a bit contradicting regarding between point one and 2&3
-at lower levels, Matk>>>everything else.(This part I get it so i am going to change the potential of my weapon to ma% and int% at my current cap of lv24/32)
-Until lv40 you should go hybrid ele, using both ice and fire skills.
-since hybrid ele is stronger at your current level, the best option to put on your weapon at your lvl is INT, Fire8%, Ice8%. ( but this part you are telling me to get fire%,int%,ice% for the potential of my weapon till the cap of lv40 reaches sorry I got a bit confused this time ><)
-Approximately, the increase in dmg from increased matk% = inc. in dmg from inc. element%.
-since element 8% > 5.8% matk you would want to put the Int, Fire8%, ice8% on your weapons.
-However, getting the Fire%, Ice%, Int% potential will not be easy; and is only a little better than say, matk%, int, agi on your weapon.
-you would want the matk% option on your rings, because you can't get Int, Fire8%, ice8% on rings that are A grade and below.
oh so for the rings I will just have to use Brilliant Rings with a base stats of ma 19/21 ,fire, ice, dark 4.83% with the potential of ma 5.8%,int%,agi%? or just get the Magician ruby rings with a base stats of Ma 43, attack power 21 ,int 15 and with the potential of ma 5.8% ,int 3.5% ,agi 4.5%? It seems to me that brilliant with 4.83% of 3 elements is better than that 22 ma and 15 int difference ><
