当个好老外 (Being a good foreigner)

Since we're getting a whole bunch of non-Chinese speakers, I thought I'd make a guide to help people get along/not get in trouble while playing.



Party Titles

4职业- 4 Different jobs. Don't join unless they don't have your class yet.
连刷- Basically means that they intend to keep going to that same dungeon again.
满 PL- Full Fatigue.
小狗、大狗- Normal/Hell Cerb
小天、大天- Normal/Hell Apo
小猫、大猫-Normal/Hell Manti
小猪、小主/大猪、大主 - Bishop/Hell Bishop
眼泪-Tear

How to request for specific jobs or roles:
Jobs:
Tank: MT,XZ
Saint:奶,JS,nai (Insert random magic attack requirement here)
Archer:弓手
Warrior:战士
Mage:法师
Cleric:牧师
Any random dps: DPS (insert required dps here)

Please, don't join parties that request dps above what you have, or parties that want jobs you aren't. Also, refrain from asking for high dps when you're not a saint or don't have particularly wonderful gear.

对不起/不好意思- Sorry
谢谢-Thanks
不好意思，忘记拿票- Sorry, I forgot my (nest) tickets <--- useful for forgetful people LOL
我不能讲中文- I can't speak Chinese
88- Bye

Party talk:
等人-waiting for someone
不走-not going (to whatever your destination is)
继续-Continue
恩- ok/yes
不捡白/不捡垃圾-People at lotus marsh, please take note of this. They're asking you to stop picking up the white stuff, aka trash. It really pisses them off when people keep looting trash.

Will revamp this later, going to study now, major exams coming up. You shouldn't need much more than this for basic playing though.

猪脚 = 主教 = Bishop Nest (Pin yin :P)

actually, i don't recommend you trying it.. cause you'll be stuck in an endless line of chinese writing. it's pretty hard for them to believe that someone who can write in chinese, can't actually understand what he's writing(some folks kept whispering me for a good 15 minutes after i said something like - "i don't speak chinese, english please").
it has been biting me in the ass since i started using google-translate in nests, to tell my party that they're stupid =\ but yeah, made quite a few new friend that way :D

anyway, general rule, as i see it - stay silent. if you really need to say something.. pray someone in your pt knows english.

They will generally leave you alone if you say you can't speak Chinese, unless you've done something to offend them (or they may pm you asking if you're a foreigner)
I am, however, only posting how to say I can't speak Chinese as a last resort, do keep silent unless you have to. Like what Perfecti said, don't try to start off asking if they can speak English, as I don't really want unecessary trouble.

For the very basic stuff (sorry, thanks, heal/go, ecc...), isn't it better to use the macros (F1~F10)?

Would you mind translating some of the commonly used words that aren't really common  to everyday Chinese (for example: bow, staff, orb, skill crest. enhancement crest, gear etc.)?

Uhhh.... no. While I may be trying to provide people with enough to get by, I don't encourage speaking unless absolutely necessary, or unless you have a decent level of proficiency in Chinese.
