LOL, i still have not decide which path to take: Majesty or Smasher.....

Need more data from both paths. Will decide after korean test play both characters in real game play over the next month.

* beware, i have not tested out the build in real game. Skill simulator are not yet updated according to the latest patch.

Seems to be a good balanced build, only if I knew it earlier I wouldnt screw my build up

with this build you will be unable to get the gravity Ball EX triple explosion....wouldn't be a dark build with gravity ball EX be superior to this laser build?

Hehe, i am pretty sure there will be a reset at llv45.

I will reset for majesty at lv45, with gravity ball EX and gravity switch probably.

This will be temporary only, until lvl50 cap open.

How good is laser spec performing compared to dark ?

I know you are an experienced dark user (Chaos)

Untill yesterday i used a "dark" spec that included spectrum shower, really nice in pvp when i manage to timestop enemies and hit the with the laser beam.
It was also a nice in pve vs big monsters or with many targets ( i preferred it to summon comet because i don't have to run away from the monsters before casting it..)

Would you include (if possible) spectrum shower in a temporary spec untill majesty and level 50 cap are released?

I don't know which path to choose...i prefer eraser to meteor swarm, and arcane over steal magic...
It's a shame that arcane is more pve oriented than steal magic, but gravity ball is way better for pve than linear ray
I prefer Gravity Ball EX over Linear Ray EX because it's faster and i don't have to charge it
Switch gravity would make up for the loss of Spectrum Shower ( i love the combo timestop->sprectrum shower->gravity ascension because when i blink inside a group of mobs after time stop the fastest way to hit them all is to use sprectrum shower, while summon comet actually requires teleport after time stop to be at the right distance)
But Spectrum shower cover the loss of summon comet...if only they had inverted summon comet and gravity ascension :S Gravity ascension is such a great disabler skill...too bad it doesn't work on sea dragon nest
I hate how slowly black hole sucks enemies... but like it combined with summon comet
I love the mirror block thing from the laser path
I've never used gravity lance i don't know how good it may be
I don't know how worth is the push back spell you can cast then enemies knocks you down....but i rarely use it in pve. Thoght i can save my life if i get stuck on the ground by a large amount of monsters. (even if they are almost never able to reach me because of 3k teleport abilities)



What would you suggest? i can't reset my talents because i can't spend realm money to buy the skill reset item :(

First, if possible, do try to register and login before you post so that i can recognize and address you accordingly ^_^.

Now, on to your questions. I wouldn't say i am 100% certain of my path for lvl50 because DN CN is still at lv40 cap. However, i would share with you my opinion based on my info and experience at lvl40 cap.

How good is laser spec performing compared to dark ?
* seriously, dark tree is the ultimate path for DPS in PVE as a force user. Note that although i choose to go down the laser-line, i am still relying on highly pumped poison, gravity ball and microhole with damage crest.


Other force users like Sething choose to Max out all the above + glacial spike and 9 tail laser for even better DPS. Non-dark based attack is very useful against boss/monster which resist dark attack.


I on the other hand, choose some control skill such as blackhole, higher lvl for timestop and slow area for disabling purpose. You can refer to Sething latest skill build in my "guide and skill build" link of my signature.

* it's never an easy choice for force user. However, i look at the choice this way. Since i am going for dark-based force user, gravity ball EX is almost a must. Not to mention, there are alot of speculation about the EX version of other force user skills in the future. Imagine Microhole EX? The choice of 2nd job is a long term decision, which goes beyond lv50 cap. Choose wisely because very likely it's an irreversible path.


Anyway, according to my info, majority of force user chose to become Majesty, simply because gravity ball EX > linear ray EX. Yea, i do agree with you that i am planning to use Gravity Switch to replace Spectrum Shower in the nxt cap. The damage and range of G.Switch is respectable. Casting time seems abit shorter than S.Shower too.

* In my old build, i use the following combo for mobs clearing:
Slow Area -> Black Hole -> Summon Comet.
Instead of teleporting in or out, i basically stay put and put a slow area in front of me, preventing any mobs to get close to me. Then i summon black hole, which suck up all the mobs who are trap in the slow area or outside of it. This will be followed by Summon Comet, which almost clear 95% of the mobs normally. However, i used to hav max blackhole. I note that blackhole gets bigger at lvl4 an maybe suction speed too. I believe the suction power increase at lvl4, since you complain about the slow suction. Anyway, i will find out soon, because i only has lvl2 backhole in this update.


In this update, i would replace the summon comet with spectrum shower. I will see how it goes because i have not tried the build out yet.

* erm, you can buy dragon coin to buy skill reset if i am not wrong. Anyway, go with your own skill build which you think you are happy with. I share my build for reference only, not suggesting that it is superior to any other builds.

nine tail laser sucks if not used on large sized bosses :S
I guess i'll reset the next event and go majesty, gravity switch is just plain superior to spectrum shower, 9 tail laser.

Gravity lance....what can i say about that skill.
I hate it. It often fail to hit mobs and just go thru them,
When it hit the damages are really low, not woth the points.

Do you know how to report bugs ?

i've noticed that the skill book for Time Accel still requires lvl40.

Gravity Lance deal 3 hit on a single mob if you are able to aim properly, though it's pretty hard given the size of the ball is very small....

Each hit is 1/3 of the shown damage in the skill description. That's why you see the apparent small damage number on screen because the damage is split into 3 hits.

Now, i chain gravity lance to almost every blink i use (especially after microhole) and practice to shoot more accurately, especially aiming towards the floor where the target is standing to deal the maximum damage. If all the 3 hits connect, the damage is definitely higher than force wave, due to the dark damage boost.

Find gravity lance pretty good ^_^ Just require more practice to maximize its potential

flyff? fking gross takes a sentry to go from 1-80 and there is a 300+lvl cap plus at lvl 75 u get a .003exp you call that a win plus a PTW game. you disgust me for even saying flyff and FTW in the same sentence.

So, anyone confirm that lv4 black hole has greater area and faster suction?
I really like it despite the low damage, but I consider to leave it at level 2 if nothing change at lvl4.
