Honestly I enjoyed Yugi-oh duel card game. But in the end it got boring. There are patterns you can do to make sure you win. If you already knew them, possible every thing goes boring. Unless you play with real people. Yogi has a card game and I enjoyed it playing with friends. Now since its tag as nerds game I stopped.

i've played a couple of card games, but on the digital side, i only play yugi oh.

i played magic the gathering since i was in primary school. then i moved to legend of the five rings and then to yugi oh. believe it or not, i only learned the rules of yugi oh by watching the anime. LOL. playing yugi oh games also helped me a lot in understanding more about the rules and combos.

I did like these card games for a time. I was only enticed by the anime Yu-Gi-Oh, never read the manga though. I have only played the video game version of Yu-Gi-Oh. The other card game that I got into was Duel Masters and the other one was Urban Rivals. As for Magic the Gathering, I know I will receive a lot of hate but I never played that nor I could really understand the game. Sorry.

I never bought the physical cards because they will just pile up for me and I will never see any kind of use from it. I would rather buy an action figure.

I'm not into magic game cards like yu-gi-oh. the only card I played is poker.
while on the turn based games, at first I didn't like it. the first turn based game I played was fairyland1 then next is atlantica online, then when I played atlantica it kinda had me hooked with coz it makes me think about my moves or whatnot.

but I'm not sure if I'll be liking other turn based games tho.

i like some card games and turn based games, but when they are put online, something always ruins them. games like Wonderland Online make it impossible for you to do anything in game solo. Atlantica Online forces you to item mall to get anywhere late in the game due to poor balancing issues.

card based games are okay as long as you do not offer "exclusives" to item mall users in online versions, which happens way too often. a lot of those end up ruining the game for people who do not have access. Sword Girls Online is probably the best example. it will take you around a week of heavy farming to get enough materials to make a decent Double Rare card. if this was the only way to get cards for everyone, that would be fine. however, item mall users can just buy booster packs for cards, while normal players cannot.
most regular card games are much better about this with booster packs carrying a certain number of commons, uncommons, and rares.

Magic the Gathering is bigger in Europe last i heard. Yugioh is more of an American and Japanese thing.

Something between Yu Gi Oh and Magic the gathering, but I think YGO (Yu Gi Oh) is more popular, because in trading forums you can see more YGO Europe traders than Magic.

I like turnbased games, but only as singleplayer. It's good that people can think of strategies and tacitcs but I just prefer doing it on a singleplayer instead of online.

I still play Yu-Gi-Oh but only digitally xD Not a fan of buying booster packs in real life and going to tournaments.

I have the same sentiments. One time I even saw a guy together with his wife or girlfriend in a mall, and the lady is pregnant! Way big and she looks like ready to give birth at anytime.

The guy is playing with magic with another guy and the lady is beside the guy bored to death. If you can see her face and you will know what I mean. I really got turned off of the idea that the guy prioritized his cards rather than his wife. They could have done something better like shopping for the needs of the wife or some baby needs.

So I promised myself that I will not do that to my wife and promised my self not to buy any card games and not get addicted to it.

I had a friend who was really good at that yu gi oh game. He went to multiple tournaments and just won with his deck.

The one card game that I remember playing when I was a kid was monster ranchers on the gameboy. It was fun, but I was too young and not very many action was going on to interest me.

Having similar hobbies or just playing magic when she's not there would be much better xD

Well i'm not afraid of being addicted but buying booster packs or just cards is somewhat costly. Plus playing the real game doesn't feel as fun as video game version or even the anime version xD.
