    Depends, if you really want to play WoW now I guess so. However, Blizzard might be upgrading everyone and giving free toons later again so i'm not sure whether it's a good idea or not. IMO you should play with a friend or make sure you really want to play this game. This game is feels old in certain areas and the new expos aren't very exciting(at least for me).

      In my opinion, yes - it's worth to buy. But you have to know that WOW is very addicting :P I think that Battlechest has very nice price now. I found it for even €9.50 at http://www.go2arena.com/world-of-warcraft-1.html - it's good offer. I suggest you to think also about buying Compete Pack, which includes also Cataclysm and Mist of Pandaria. Generally - this game it totally worth buying.
