New Expansion, Level Cap, and Race Mists of Pandaria
So, how many of you guys here on MMOsite are going to purchase the next expansion of World of Warcraft (Mists of Pandaria)?
Sounds pretty decent in my opinion and I'm really eager to try out the Panda Monk, and get my characters up to level 90 (hopefully there will be new skills and some actual decent balancing between the classes).
With all of the new games coming out like Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, etc., (next year), do you think you will still play WoW even with the new releases and expansion pack?
It honestly isn't going all that well with the customers in my opinion, judging from the comments that have been posted on the blog and on youtube (really seems like it is based off of Kung-Fu Panda says some, LOL), but anyway, discuss ^^.
The fourth World of Warcraft expansion set, Mists of Pandaria, has been unveiled! Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures -- including the noble and enigmatic pandaren. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation… or will the battle to control this new land push the Horde and the Alliance over the brink of war and into total annihilation?
In Mists of Pandaria, players will be able to explore an all-new continent while reaching new heights of power on their way to an increased level cap of 90. In addition, adventurers can choose whether to side with the Horde or the Alliance as World of Warcraft’s first neutral race -- the pandaren -- and master the ways of Pandaria’s ancient martial arts as the all-new monk class.
For more information, check out the official press release, and visit the new World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria website for screenshots, information about the new features, concept art, the announcement trailer, and more.
I like it. Lots of the people i heard complaining about pandas coming in, I believe, don't realize the rich history behind them. Instead they think Blizzard is just throwing them in for ties to the Kung Fu Panda movies.
The environment looks awesome, the new class could be cool, I don't mind the idea of a neutral race, but I am not really fond of the race itself. Then again, I didn't like the idea of worgen, but they turned out okay. I think I will get it when it comes out, but I won't make any promises one way or the other until more information is released about it.

when is it suppose to come out? I think the level cap is to soon seeing how cata just had one. I think they need to wait a little while longer till then. And it better not be as expensive as cata seeing how cata had ALOT more.
Me and my friend quit WoW because this came out today. This is absolutely disappointing of Blizzard tbh. Really I think we have enough classes atm since there's not much styles left to do and balancing more and more classes will be harder. In addition to that, other than the pandarians Monks don't really fit into the world of Azeroth at all. Not to mention this is wayyyy out of lore and the bad guy isn't even visible here.

It will probably come out next year. Since it was just released, it will probably be released either after Diablo 3/SC2 Expansions, or at the same time.
@Zeph: Yeah, but I still want to make one for Kung Fu Panda luls, lol

I guess u're one of the 9y olds that turned 10 before this expansion was announced and decided it was too silly for you. Get real, wow was a PG 13 game since it came out...
And Pandarens are part of Warcraft series and fit in as much as furbolgs, satyrs and everything else.
Playing a kiddie game and then going "this is too silly for me" get real. Like anyone's forcing you to play the class you dont like.

I didn't say it was silly or kiddy. I just said that it felt too odd for me. Pandarens were introduced as a joke character in WC3. It's true the Blizz has wanted to put in Pandarens for quite sometime now. However, it's still weird how all this Asian culture comes out of nowhere and not even affected by Deathwing's earth shattering events.
