When you create your character. Make it these stats. This guide will only get you to Opening Chi 1 (Level 25) and choose your job while obtaining some good items in the process. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD EVERY NEW WEAPON THAT COMES ALONG IN THE SHOP!!!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this type of build anytime after you pick your class. It becomes less and less effective at higher levels and these are meant for low level vagabonds and pre role/class select characters. Once you pick your role, DO NOT use the builds below. I will not support the use of either once you pick your role/class.
Use this to help you

LEVELS TO BUY EQUIPMENT IF YOU DONT FIND ANY BY THEN
Losing Self 5
Gathering Chi 1 (Your Losing Self 5 weapon should be nearly broken)
Opening Chi 1
I recommend you start at Wu Tang Shan, the home of the Wu Tang Clan.
You don't have to join the Wu Tang Clan cause you can always leave to join another clan if you want. The purpose of this guide is to get you lots of goodies.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
DO NOT SELL YOUR LOOT!!! YOU CAN SELL WEAPONS THOUGH
Now when you first start, do the quest and obtain Basic Meditation from the old man. You will have to do Chi Breathing which you should remember how to do. Everytime you reach level 12 of a set of levels and 100% (i.e. Losing Self 12), you will have to do Chi Breathing to level up. Chi Breathing shows up as a giant blue flashing button that is kinda hard to miss.
Press tab to switch into combat mode and go fight foxes until you obtain 20 gold. Walk over to the Sifu NPC and learn Basic Fist Attack. Train it and the training dummies until the minigame ends. When it is done, continue fighting foxes until you gain 15 fox skins.
Continue doing quests for the old man as they show up. Once you reach Losing Self 3, you can start fighting Scamps. I recommend going after the ones that are Yellow to you. They're easier to kill. When Scamps become weak, move on to Rascals or Wolves. Scamps and Rascals are down both sides of the hill. Wolves are down the northern side of the hill. Eventually you will reach Losing Self 7. That's when you move on to Timid Female Thief. Kill those until you reach Losing Self 10 or so. You can move on to stronger Theives too. Remember to continue doing quests.
NOTE: When you reach Losing Self 9, open your Information menu and click on Living. You should see a quest there. You need to drop 3 Tobacco Leaf, 3 Pouch, and 3 Big Pouch in there. Doing this will allow you to go to Hefei and get a really good armor.
Once you are at Losing Self 10, you can move on to Small Vipers. Small Vipers give more exp but are slightly tougher. Keep fighting these until you reach Gathering Chi 1. OR you could continue to fight Theives and wait until Losing Self 12 to fight Small Vipers.
By now you should have Basic Wu Tang Fists and Basic Wu Tang Sword. Using these will help you level, but you lose them if you do not join Wu Tang. The same applies to Basic Wu Tang Lightfoot. To reach Gathering Chi 1, you will have to do Chi Breathing as demonstrated when you learned Basic Meditation. Now at Gathering Chi 1, you will learn Basic Wu Tang Lightfoot from the old man. Lightfoot allows you to run faster. A higher level lightfoot will be faster and harder to level up.
IF YOUR INJURIES REACH 15% OF YOUR MAX HP, GO TO THE DOCTOR AND HEAL!!!
Now go down the hill to the north and start fighting Young Blood Wolves. The other ones are tough so I am against fighting them. If you think these are too tough for you, you can continue to fight Vipers and Big Vipers first. Fight them until you reach Gathering Chi 3. There will be a quest to obtain a special accessory item. You will need 20 Blood Wolf Skins and 5 Blood Wolf Claws to complete the quest. You might have them already from fighting Blood Wolves though. Try to get about 50 or so Blood Wolf Skins. Doing so will allow you to do a few extra quests in other clan areas that will give you a few thousand gold. Once you complete this quest you need to leave Wu Tang Shan by going through Hefei.
DURING THIS TIME TRAIN YOUR LIGHTFOOT.
Once you're in Hefei head to the other two White Clans (Shaolin and League of Beggars) and an NPC in both areas should give you a quest to obtain an accessory. Those accessories can be traded in for some better accessories that give bonus stats (Strength and Wisom or Wisdom and Constitution) with the exception of the 2 Silver Sachets. Once you do those, you can go to the Collecter NPC (Wan Daye) and obtain a special item from him if you did the Collection Quest under the Living Tab if you had saved the Tobacco Leaves, Pouches, and Big Pouches.
CHOOSE THE BODY ARMOR. DO NOT CHOOSE THE PANTS. AND MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT GENDER!!!
Now head to the Black Clans and do those quests for accessories too. Do Heavenly Demon last. At Heavenly Demon you will need to do the quests to join the Heavenly Demon clan until you obtain the Warm Earrings. Some of these quests are timed so beware. You will not join Heavenly Demon until after you complete the quest requiring you to obtain 5 Chimera Horns so you don't have to worry about accidentally joining the clan.
Doing all of these quests will give you about 7 or so VERY GOOD accessories.
Now this is up to you. You can join a clan now or wait till Gathering Chi 12 and 100%.
Will you join Wu Tang? Or will you join another clan?
IF YOU PLAN TO JOIN WU TANG YOU NEED TO GET BASIC WU TANG FISTS AND BASIC WU TANG SWORD TO CHENG 2. SO KEEP USING THEM.
If you join a clan, you can no longer go to the territory of the opposing clans. White Clans cannot enter Black Clan territory. Black Clans cannot enter White Clan territory. Basically go to Hefei and look at the map. If there's an entrance for it to the north, it's a White Clan area. If there's an entrance for it to the south, it's a Black Clan area. Bloody Plains is a PvP area where Bleeding is always on.
If you don't wish to wait, go to the clan you wish to join and complete the quest to join the clan. Wu Tang and Heavenly Demon require you to be at level 20 (Gathering Chi 8 or 9) to join.
If you wish to wait, you can fight Iron Clad Zombies at Heavenly Demon's southern exit and level up there. The Zombies could still be a bit tough. Otherwise you will need to fight Male or Female Bandits at your respective territory (Shi Zhang or Zhengzhou). At around Gathering Chi 10, you can start fighting Female Black Shadow Disciples. Do not attack the Suspicious Male Passerbys they will kill you horribly. You should be able to handle the female ones though.
At Gathering Chi 12 and 100%, DO NOT DO CHI BREATHING YET. Go join the clan you wish to join. Complete the quest and join their clan. Contribute some items to the clan. You can easily obtain around 3000 contribution using just the items you got from Vipers and the Shadow Disciples.
Head to Zhengzhou or Shi Zhang and there will be quests to obtain Headgear and Pants clan clothing. These give bonus stats. IF YOU WENT OPENING CHI 1 YOU MIGHT MISS THESE. The Headgear gives +30 Dodge and the Pants give +30 Defense and has 3 slots. There are also gloves that give +15 Damage, but the ones you should've gotten before that gives +10 Damage and 1% Dodge are much more useful than the +15 Damage ones later on.
You don't get shoes until a bit later.
Once you complete those quests, you can do Chi Breathing and become Opening Chi 1. If you chose a clan besides Wu Tang or Heavenly Demon, you will have to do 4 Road to Dragon Quests which vary greatly depending on the clan. Wu Tang and Heavenly Demon only have 1 Road to Dragon Quest. You will have to do those to choose a job.
All jobs suck at a specific stat. That stat will take 2 points to increase instead of 1.
WARRIORS - Sucks with Essence.
HEALERS - Sucks with Constitution.
HYBRIDS - Sucks with Wisdom.
MAGES - Sucks with Strength.
Some clans also get their own special buffs called Basic something Protection.
League of Beggar - Max HP Up
Shaolin - Accuracy
Wu Tang - None
Theives - Defense Up
Sacred Flower - Avoid Attack Rating (Dodge)
Heavenly Demon - None
Go to your clan and you will be able to choose a job. Click on any job and pick "I wish to learn more" and you will be able to see some neat art of each clan and an explanation of what they do. Basically all the jobs are Warrior, Healer, Hybrid, Mage (I think it's in that order, not 100% sure). WHEN YOU PICK YOUR JOB YOU NEED TO CHOOSE TO RESET YOUR STATS AND WEAPON MASTERY OTHERWISE YOU COULD GET SCREWED!!!
IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO BY NOW BUY A BACKPACK TOO!!! Backpacks give you more inventory space. It would be sad if you found a Blood Essence and you couldn't pick it up.
If you don't like your chosen job, you get the option to change ONCE. There is an NPC in your Clan Base that will let you do Chi Reconditioning ONCE as long as you are below Five Dragons (Level 60).
