Rift error 1003

Im getting very irritated trying to patch this game. For some reason the patcher is saying it will take me 23 hours. AND whenever I let the patch run after a while i get error 1003 and it stops patching.
I dont know what is the problem. Can someone help me plz?

Well, I do the search "error 1003" on google and find out that there are many ppl have the same problem when patching the game. And here are some suggestions I collcet from google:
1. You internet connection is low speed or the speed is unstable. If you have this issue, you can download the patch when the internet is not so busy (i.e., early in the morning or midnight).
2. Maybe have some problems on the  file called geometry_1.pak. For this problem, try to move the files to the root folder and renaming the test folders in the download directory.

I am getting the 2005 errormessage. This afternoon I could play the game without a problem. Now I am getting the 2005 errormessage. It even doesn't allow me to enter the rift site and click the above mentioned links :S

Try disabling the firewall..also double check your user name and password. It could be
an internal error where you might end up needing to call Trion.

Holy cow, I was thinking on playing rift again but with all this errors, now I am not so sure...

i had error 1003. i had to bypass my wireless router and hook up the (yellow) cable from the modem directly to my pc.
fixed it for me
