Rift Warrior Builds Guide for Solo and Group

Feb 17, 2011 12:45 am
This Rift Warrior builds guide features the best builds that will make you dominate the game. This guide lists down the possible Warrior Classes combinations for solo and group play. Rift features the Ascended class system, in which a player has the ability to gain the powers and skills of Telera's honored dead.

A character can call upon three souls. You'll have one main soul or class; and two other souls. You'll gain the starter abilities of the two minor souls. In this Rift Warrior builds guide, you'll learn about the different Warrior souls and what you should use depending on the situation. Let's first look at the different Warrior classes.

Tanking Souls

Paladin - Uses divine blessing and heavy shield and acts as a barricade against enemies. And when the timing is right, a Paladin can launch a counterattack. These characteristics make it ideal to be part of any tanking Rift warrior builds. Paladin's weaknesses is being slow and weak against magic.

Reaver - Utilizes damage-over-time effects to soften the target. The Reaver is equipped with heavy armor and carries a one-hand weapon and a shield. This is not ideal for solo grinding Rift Warrior builds. Guide on Reaver states that this class is for playing with a party.

Void Knight - Can absorb hostile spells better than any other warrior class in Rift. Void Knight's has attack as its only weakness.

Warlord - is not really a tanking class in a strict sense of it. It is more of a buffing class, which can strengthen his allies and weaken the enemies. The Warlord does well in a group but vulnerable when alone.

Rift warrior builds guide on Tanking Combinations:

Reaver - Paladin - Void Warlord - Paladin - Reaver

DPS Souls

Champion - possesses great strength that makes him move fast and allows him to fight with any two-handed weapon. Just don't pull multiple targets because he might not be able to handle them all.

Riftblade - uses the elements to attack. The Riftblade is one of the two ranged attackers among the Rift Warrior Builds. Guide on how to play this soul states that the Riftblade has weak defense and should avoid getting hit at all costs.

Paragon - utilizes two weapons to destroy his targets. Not only that, he also has the ability to attack targets from afar. A Paragon should avoid opponents who specialize in burst damage to survive.

Beastmaster - Rift Warrior Builds Guide is not complete without this last but definitely not the least. This is the only warrior soul that can summon a combat companion that can attack the target; or heal the warrior and other party members.

Builds for Rift Warrior on DPS Combinations:

Beastmaster - Champion - Warlord Champion - Beastmaster - Riftblade Paragon - Champion - Riftblade

The build you choose will depend on what type of gameplay you want to play. If you are going to do a lot of solo grinding and quests, then pick Beastmaster or Riftblade. The Reaver is also good when solo grinding because of its self-heal abilities.

If you intend to play in a group, then use Riftblade, Champion, and Beastmaster for DPS. From there you can make several combinations. Just read the Rift Warrior Builds Guide to learn more about the souls and pick one that's right for your game.

er, you are wrong about reaver, reaver can be a good dps for either group or solo, actually im playing Champion-Reaver-Warlord, its awesome ^^, Reaver-Riftblade-Warlord (with shield) is another good build for solo with 10 points in Warlord for armor and block and 5 points in Riftblade for non-physical atk bonus and the rest on Reaver

current build im using myself is Warrior>Beast Master> Riftblade.  works fairly well in any fight riftblade works for ranged attacks via magic spears but can also work to element you blades beast master u gain a beast and the skill tree will allow u and your beast passive buffs for better tanking. then warrior for the 2 handed dps.

Pally / Reaver 33/33 is the best solo build for Warrior, you can pull 5-8 mobs depending on lvl and survive with plenty of health to continue with another pull.

WoW = script driven quest hell. Rift = always something to do.There really isn't a comparision in my mind except for maybe Rift to old EQ. There is a lot of that feel to the game. Not to mention that the WoW controls are a ripoff of EQ, and Rift further takes advatange of the controls and commands that people are already used to going back to '99

All of those MMO's borrowed elements from each other. That also tells me that you haven't played it very much. The Rift and World events and class dynamics do set this game apart. The similar cosmetics are there to make transitioning from other games easy, which is the same thing Blizzard was thinking when they made thier keyboard layout and /commands simliar to that of EQ.

[SMILE=4] blah, EQ, FFXI, WoW, Rift, all take something from their predecessors. So stop crying about it and enjoy, or go the F**K away..

This isn't really even a guide, you're just listing the different souls.

Also, it's horribly outdated. Beastmaster is almost useless nowadays.
This doesn't deserve to be called a guide.
