::Chapter I. INTRODUCTION

Ever wondered what the Perfect Build for a Qi Gong Master is? Well,

I tell you, in case you still don't know,, that "Nobody is perfect!!" ^^,,

but, the more and better advantages a build poses upon us,,

the closer it gets to becoming perfect!!! I am not here to talk about
impossibilities,

being ideal,, and perfect,, but more of being VERSATILE!!!, of not just
mastering an art,,

but being flexible enough to practice and show to each and every RANatic in the
world

the skills and gifts that Shamans are born with!!!

One of you may say, that the best character build is a Dex-Type Archer,

they are most commonly noted for being the most evasive of all killers,

they pride themselves of having been able to lure,,

more that 10 Shamans combined could. One may even think that a Dex-Type Brawler
is the mighty one

,famed for their good evasion,, skill cancellers,, and party-wiping skills,,

many hail them as the "KING OF CLUB WARS". Or,

another one may rise the point that Int-Dex Hybrid Swordies

are indeed the best among the rest,, branded as "ANG PINAKAMAKUNAT SA LAHAT!!",,
with high dexterity,,

a swordsman gets high defense,, and with considerable amount of INT,,

a swordie could get 3 skills that could boost it.

On the contrary, Dex-Type Archers have incredibly low-damaging skills

they have high defense but low HP,,

which makes them vulnerably weak in DUELS and CW that rely on one hit
high-damaging skills,,

And their evasion can be terribly pierced by the Shaman's skill

called BERSERK AURA!!! Dex-Type Brawlers on the other hand,

maybe unbeatable at high levels on one-on-one combats

but they damage feebly during their low level days,,

making them entirely a pain in the ass on leveling,,

with Petrify casted and physically imbued upon a Dex-Type Brawler,,

he would be kissing the floor in seconds and maybe,,,

promised to never duel with a Shaman again ^^... And oh, yes, Int-Dex Swordies,,

high HP,, high defense, and they have Metal Body

that makes them virtually invincible to petrification ^^..

But this question arises, how long did it take them to achieve such feat,

having both INT and dex,, AND in considerably high amounts??

My closest guess would be 160+?? Just in time to level cap. Oh, and by the way,,

high defense could be pierced by Enhanced Weaken,, our very own skill ^^

Though people may find it weird, but,, why are there no Dex skills for Shamans??

The answer is simple,, if there is a dex skill tab for Shamans,,

then,, nobody could ever beat them anymore ^^..

So Shamans, always think that there is more to life than DEX,,

and this guide might or should help you find out why ^^...

However, within the SHAMAN SISTERHOOD (Congregation of All Pow Type, Attack
Type, Support Type, Etc Type?,

and any other build that you could imagine, exclusively for Shamans only ^^),

there are more conflicts and constraining claptraps that seem to occur,

POW types are known for their great hand-in-hand combat skills and fast
cooldowns,

making them a force to reckon on CW, but,

SUPPORT types are known for their amazing healing skills,

ability and defense-boosting buffers,,

and God-like skills to awaken the dead, proving their worth to the party,

meanwhile, ATTACK types are famed for their high-damaging and candy-to-the-eye
skills,,

that at one cast could wipe-out an entire party, or a community of mobs ^^.

But without buffers, a Full Attack Shaman's petrify could paralyze and
ultimately kill her Pow Type cousin.

With slow casting, a Pow Shaman could cancel what an attacker magician's spell
might have casted,,

that most of the time,, those successful casts could do one-hit-wonders.

You may have healing abilities, but very minimal attacking skills and HP,

that any character might just pawn you in the head with a single brandish of
their sword,,

maybe a well-aimed arrow, or a fatal punch.

Having all these in mind, I studied closely every build and skill carefully to
come up with one that could minimize

the Pow Shaman's problem on her vulnerability to elemental-imbuing skills,

the attack type's slow casting, and the supportive one,

her problems in low defense and hp. Guys and gals, welcome to my VERSATILE
SHAMAN GUIDE. ^^

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Chapter II. ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGE(s)??
Well,, as I've said the more advantageous a build is,,

the more it becomes perfect.. But versatility is one of my keys to perfecting
the art of Shamanism. Well,, let's hit it:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec II-A. Advantages:
1. Easy to level
Everyone says that. By the way,, I started my Shaman from scratch and I got HT
the same day,, definitely no joking there. While I'm doing my quest to TH,, my
friends are still having problems on finding their way out of the campus..^^..
That's how fast you'll level if you follow my tips ^^,, hopefully ^^... moving
on...

2. BADLY needed in a party ^^
Yep, Shamans are. That's one reason why we level that fast,, we are in demand.
Everytime I log-in,, I receive at least 5 offers in a party, and by the moment
the game's fully loaded and I could move with my chatbox full, this is my
problem, who am I gonna party with?? ^^

3. Higher HP & defense compared to their VIT counterparts
Versatile Shamans are the best hybrid Shamans,, meaning they have the ability to
get the skills from any skill tab,, and those who hybrid with VIT do have high
hp in low levels,, but as time passes,, POW INT Shamans become more superb in
mastering Shamanism,, let's get to this part a little later,, Let's continue..

4. Can deal huge amounts of damage comparable to pure INT individuals
Knowing that pure attack types deal massive damage,, able to wipe out mobs and
parties in a cast,, the versatile Shaman could compete with them,, knowing that
high energy value means high attack, versatile Shamans get the passive skills
that boost it,, I'll expound on this later in the part of the guide. Imagine
this, dealing damage comparable to pure attack one's while having the NECESSARY
buffs and healing skills,, and take note the high HP and defense,, and that
makes the VERSATILE Shaman,, quite VERSATILE, I should say ^^

5. Can finish quests easily
It's a big bonus ^^. Finishing important quests ahead of time,, not only we do
it easily,, but we could do it all by ourselves,,, with high attack, hp,
defense, buffs, and healing skills,, you are your own party ^^.. You'll only
rely on other classes in leveling ^^...

6. Competitive (Good in Duel Combats and a great CW asset)
Even if the level 147 skills are not out yet,, Shamans,, if well protected,,
could really be great assets in Club Wars and such events like Suryun ^^.. They
have heal,, buffs,, and SLOWING skills, that definitely could put a stop on all
E-room intruders ^^... a win in CW means money,, a successful hunt in Suryun
could mean gold ^^... Sounds good enough,, there's more to come ^^

7. An Exciting Character
Apart from being user-friendly,, a Shaman's life gets more exciting every
level-up because as time progresses,, more better skills come around,, and
picking the right skill, even gets your adrenaline pumping ^^

8.easy to shift
If you get tired of being versatile, you could easily shift from any of the pure
types,, and most of the time,, POW is your friend ^^

9. GM AMETHY WANNABE
And most importantly, if you wanna be like GM Amethy,, then choose this build ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec II-B. Disadvantages?? Are there any??

Like what I've said,, nobody's perfect and all have shortcomings. But having
minimal disadvantages gets you in line to being perfect..

1. Slow casting time...
Being adept in magic has its consequences,, one of this,, and a Shaman's very
disadvantageous feature,,
is her slow casting time. Sometimes, when your opponent attacks you while you
are in the brink of casting a spell,, there is a big chance that your skill
would be cancelled,, so, as much as possible,, keep distance from your
opponent,, massive haste is just up-your-sleeve, so use it to the fullest and
cast petrify as early as possible..

2. An expensive class to maintain...
You have to use Oblivion Potions every now and then,, it costs a lot, but its
worth it..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Chapter III. TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW (Skip if familiar on how the game works)
This section discusses about topics that, I must say for noobs and pros alike,
but keep this in mind,it is always better to know the basics in order for one to
prosper.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec III-A. Creating A Character:
So, after registering at e-Games and entering any server you feel venturing into
its time to make your character.

Select the Create button and a new window would appear,
choose the school, you have 3 choices, Phoenix, Sacred Gate and Mystic Peak,
and then select your type (Shaman) and then you face, hair, and most important
(the name).
Name your character wisely, "dapat catchy!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec III-B. Entering the Ran Online Oye:
After choosing your path as a shaman, you will be born in a new world,
in your school. If you are new to everything,
from hotkeys to gameplay, please read about it at the Ran website.

After familiarizing with the controls, start leveling up (don't forget to wear
your free ROSARY ^^),
kill Little Hooligans first, since they are so rampant,
loot all the things they drop, for they are essential.
Reach level 10 and enter your Campus' Main Center.

OK, first thing is first, look for the Grocery Merchant,
located at the Welfare Center Section found at the map.
Talk to her and take all the quests availabe.
Confirm Reaching level 5, and 8 quests and then proceed to the Shaman
Instructor,
located at the Qi Gong Section (again found at the map.)

Apply for the Registration Exam and follow the instructions (quite 123ABCish).
When you are in the health room, Apply for the two quests there (4000 gold at
stake if you complete it!!)

After registering, its time for serious leveling.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec III-C. THE STATS !!! DON'T SKIP THIS !!! ::IMPORTANT::
The 3 most important stats a VERSATILE Shaman must take in consideration are POW
that increases approximately 0.300 per level, INT that has a 0.750 point
increment on every level up, and VIT that goes up by 4.000 points on each time
you level.

At level 1:
base INT = 36
base VIT = 32
base POW = 6

USABLE STAT POINTS: 3
to solve base stats at level 127
base INT = (0.750*127) + 36 = 131
base VIT = (4.000*127) + 32 = 540
base POW = (0.300*127) + 6 = 44

USABLE STAT POINTS (excluding SP from quests): 381

You might be asking why I'd put this section.
The answer is that some neglect the rate of growth of each of this stats,,
that some may overpump INT and neglect POW,,
for a versatile Shaman,, every stat point counts,,
and it saves a lot of higher Oblis in knowing these basic ideas.
This may also be your guide for the required stats of every skill that you will
have to learn. ^^

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:Sec III-D. THE SKILL POINTS: SKIP THIS IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT
IT
Skill points are needed in order to learn and master a skill,, duh ^^..
Aside from acquiring one skill point every level up,
you can also obtain these precious skill points through quests
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:Sec III-E. THE SKILLS
These are your abilities, to be able to unlock or learn a skill,,
you must attain the level requirement,,
the skill scroll must be in your inventory, enough skill points, and sometimes,
for higher skills,, some may require prerequisites.
In order for you to learn the skill, right click the scroll in your inventory,
and if all requirements are attained,
you will learn it.

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:Chapter IV. WHERE TO PARTY?

To sum it all up,, here is an outline of the maps and mobs you could get good
exp from corresponding on your current level:

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::Chapter
V. WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE PARTY?
Knowing the right places to level,,

one must know that as you level higher,,
the mobs and monsters you have to battle with in order to gain exp become more
and more stronger,,
so in able to survive,, you must know the importance of good equipment and
weapons for certain purposes,,
and the time or level you are able to use, acquire and equip them.
Part 1 deals with the armor and acessories,,
the second part dealing on weaponry ,, and the latter part on tips in using,
acquiring, its advantages and disadvantages,, and other concerns ^^...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec V-A. FASHIONista RAN
This part will tackle about the types or armors,
level requirements, sets, and accesories.
Many people are asking on what equipment is better,,
a dynamic or an enhanced one,, and you will know about that and more,,
here. Tips on upgrading are included ^^

As soon as you start your RAN life,, you will be given,,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head Gear: -none-
Armor (Upper): Preparatory Coat [D]
Armor (Lower): Preparatory Skirt [D]
Shoes: Preparatory Shoes [D]
Gloves: anything that would suffice your level
Necklace: Resurrection Training Rosary [7H]
Earring: -none-
Ring (Left): -none-
Ring (Right): -none-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly, these armors gives very feeble defense,, like you are not wearing
anything,, the only good thing in that set is the ROSARY that you were born
with,,
so use this time wisely in order to level. Another sad thing is that,
at this level,, you have not a cent to waste so you have no choice but to use
it,
at least its still better than a costume ^^, or appearing with just your pink
undies ^^.
After bonding with low level mobs,,
and you have already achieved at least level 5,, you are now able to wear:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head Gear: any headgear from special events or from the item shop
Armor (Upper): Freshman Coat [D]
Armor (Lower): Freshman Skirt [D]
Shoes: Freshman Boots [D]
Gloves: anything that would suffice your level
Necklace: any necklace that has no level reqt
Earring: -none-
Ring (Left): any ring that has no level reqt
Ring (Right): same as above
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This set looks better ^^, but still gives low defense but better than just the
prep set,
if you are lucky enough to find copper tin rings that give +1 defense (no level
reqt),,
then by all means equip it,, but I stayed on the Preparatory Set,
knowing that I could get the best uniform for free ^^...
Continue leveling until you reach your 12th birthday and if you have money,,
you can buy these as personal presents ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head Gear: any headgear from special events or from the item shop
Armor (Upper): Sophomore Coat [D]
Armor (Lower): Sophomore Skirt [D]
Shoes: Sophomore Boots [D]
Gloves: anything that would suffice your level
Necklace: any necklace that has no level reqt
Earring: -none-
Ring (Left): any ring that has no level reqt
Ring (Right): same as above
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you look better,, the prices get bigger..
I suggest dont buy every uniform set if in the first place you could not afford
them,,
save your money instead for buying weapons,,
why? because you can get the Senior Set for free through a quest.
And leveling solo is not yet that difficult.
Even if you are only wearing the prep set up to this stage ^^..
By level 22,, you can now wear,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head Gear: any headgear from special events or from the item shop
Armor (Upper): Junior Coat [D]
Armor (Lower): Junior Skirt [D]
Shoes: Junior Boots [D]
Gloves: anything that would suffice your level
Necklace: any necklace that has no level reqt
Earring: -none-
Ring (Left): any ring that has no level reqt
Ring (Right): same as above
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit inferior to the Senior Coat,,
so I suggest wait for 10 more levels and you will get a better version of this,,
for free ^^,, and the set that Im talking about is this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head Gear: any headgear from special events or from the item shop
Armor (Upper): Senior Coat [D]
Armor (Lower): Senior Skirt [D]
Shoes: Senior Boots [D]
Gloves: anything that would suffice your level
Necklace: any necklace that has level 30 as reqt
Earring: -none-
Ring (Left): any ring that has level 30 as reqt
Ring (Right): same as above
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you grow old, you have wider options for accessories (necklaces, rings) to
wear,
its up to your liking on which one you might consider equipping,,
but what's important is you are starting to get better defence,, by the way,,
if you successfully completed the quest by the student director on
authenticating the force field,
you will only be rewarded with the coat and the skirt, so if you want,
you could buy the senior boots,, or stay prep ^^.
After this set, things get a bit complicatedly extravagant ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Armor (Lower): Basic, Enhanced or Dynamic Shaman Leggings [D][C]

Necklace: any necklace that has level 80 as reqt
Earring: -none-

Ring (Right): same as above
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At level 99 - 115: Ritual Set

Head Gear: any headgear from special events or from the item shop

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At level 136 - 165: A Lvl Mil Set

TIP: On costumes, right click the costume over your current equipment to
disguise it ^^.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-A-1. DYNAMIC OR ENHANCED??
Every now and then,, the comparison between Dynamic and Enhanced Clothes,

and on being which is the better choice arises.

The answer is simple,, BOTH. The two are a cut above the basic one,,

having elemental resistances,, Add Values,, Random Values, additional defense,,

DEX for Enhanced and,, EVASION for Dynamic.

I highly recommend getting both sets because the two have different purposes.

The Dynamic variety gives bonuses in evasion,,

which is what you will need for mobs,,

it is better to use dynamic sets for leveling purposes because the mobs' attack
is not that high,,

so you'll only need evasion in order for them to miss,,

and most of the time,, they do ^^.

Some settle on Dynamic sets because they really are good both in duels, CW, and
hunting/leveling.

But Enhanced clothes can do the job better if purposes are not for sheer
leveling.

Enhanced sets on the other hand gives dexterity,,

that gives additional defense,, in order for high-damaging attacks to be
minimized.

Consider this,, its CW time and you are in the E-room,,

you are wearing Dynamic Set,, and you have high evasion,,

but suddenly, another Shaman casts BA to you,,

making it completely worthless,, this is where you'll need your Enhanced Sets,,

because of lower defence and even negative evasion,,

Dynamic Sets are not for CW that relies on one hit wonders..

So you have to stock up on Enhanced Clothes too,,

for if you have high defense,,

chances of being one hit are lower for you cannot be penetrated that easily.

So the consensus is, for party leveling,, use Dynamic.

If your purpose for your character is just for leveling,,

well it must be your main priority by the way,, then,, you'll not need Enhanced
Clothes that much,,

Enhanced Clothes do matter in Club Wars and such events which require you not to
be one hit.

However, when you have enough money to buy +7 or you can do upgrade it on your
own,,

then stick the Dynamic side. So that you could use it both in leveling and CW
alike. ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::Sec
V-B. THE BLING-BLINGs
We are finished with your party wardrobe,, it's time to hit the road and pick
the right BLING BLING.. This section tackles almost everything about weapons the
Shaman class are able to equip. Mind you,, you have to pick the right weapon for
the right purpose in order for you,, not only to look good,, but to damage
good,, and last longer ^^.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-B-1. STICKS
The most basic weapon apart from clubs (which I won't discuss) that you could
equip at low levels, until about level 65,, before majoring to wands or spears,,
you have to go through these, cute looking but still powerful sticks,, which are
half-wands-half-spears,, for their high attack range and considerable bonuses on
energy value. These sticks depend on your level in order for you to equip them.

Pow types equip these,, they look really good, and these weapons major in attack
range more than just energy value, making your character,, a force to reckon
with. Though you may never equip high spears for the pure and hardcore POW
type,, it is always good to know something about spears. You may never know,,
you might shift here ^^. By the way, these spears depend on the POW stat.

::Art V-B-3. WANDS
Those, whoever chose to continue the path of intelligence choose these weapons,,
though not intended for physical bashing,, wands are known for their superbly
high energy value,, that adds enough damage for magic type skills. Same as the
sticks,, wands depend on your level in order for you to equip them.

::Art V-B-4. THE SHADOWSTAFF
Now this, is what I would call the ULTIMATE VERSATILE SHAMAN BLINGBLING. Many of
you may ask on why I did not put this in the wands section,, the answer is,,
because it's not just like any other wand. Shadowstaffs,, really rare,, are
gifted with high attack range,, high energy value,, and the big bonus is,, you
can equip it as early as level 73 (usually wands can be equipped within ten
levels of range,, knowing that the Shadow Staff requires level 83,, you can wear
it ten levels earlier ^^). -dropped by EF

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec V-C. TALISMANIA
Talismans are used in order to cast spells and buffer your partymates. This item
is basically your ammunition equivalent to the arrows of an archer. Though it
has no effect when buffering, its attack bonuses help increase the total damage
done by an attack type shaman. You are a versatile shaman, and must know these
details by heart:

*Tiger Talisman
Quantity: 150/600
Attribute
Attack Power: (+2)~(+2)
Requirement: Level 1

*Spirit Talisman
Quantity: 150/600
Attribute
Attack Power: (+3)~(+3)
Requirement: Level 15

*Divine Talisman
Quantity: 150/600
Attribute
Attack Power: (+5)~(+5)
Requirement: Level 30

*Destiny Talisman
Quantity: 150/600
Attribute
Attack Power: (+8)~(+8)
Requirement: Level 50

TIP: If your role in the party is to just to support, then use the low-priced
talismans because that won't affect the effectivity of a buffer skill, though
you can still use what you prefer if you want to help in the killing process.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec V-D. UPGRADE ME
Some people may think that life points or bright points contribute on chances of
dropping an item,, looting an item,, or upgrading an item. Maybe. Maybe not. Up
until now, there is no known function of the life points yet. GMs say maybe
future patches would have. But on upgrading, we should know that there are four
rare items you could use to do it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-1. THE BURR
This upgrading item is used to sharpen your weapons in order to deal greater
damage. You could use this on upgrading your item up to +4 only. With 100%
success rate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-2. THE PROT POT
The Protection Potion, on the other hand,, is used to upgrade your clothes up to
a maximum of +4. With 100% success rate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-3. THE FINE BURR
Just as it sounds, this item is used to upgrade your weapon to a maximum of +9.
But mind you, as the bonuses get bigger,, chances of it resulting in a failure
gets higher.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-4. THE LUX PROT POT
Luxury Protection Potions increases your clothes' luster by a factor of +9. Like
the fine burr, chances of failing escalates as the + gets higher.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-5. THE CONSEQUENCES
The table below shows the success rate of every upgrade.
Refine Item Used Chances (Success)
+1 Burr/Prot Pot 100%
+2 Burr/Prot Pot 100%
+3 Burr/Prot Pot 100%
+4 Burr/Prot Pot 100%
+5 Fine Burr/Lux Prot Pot 50%
+6 Fine Burr/Lux Prot Pot 25%
+7 Fine Burr/Lux Prot Pot 12.5%
+8 Fine Burr/Lux Prot Pot 6.25%
+9 Fine Burr/Lux Prot Pot 3.125%

NOTE:: Critical values are to be taken approximately 80% true, and the trend of
decrease in success rate diminishes by 50% on every upgrade after +4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Art V-D-6. BREAKING THE +7 CODE
On upgrading items above +4,, three things might happen,, one and the most
common,, is that it would revert to its most basic form with no upgrades at
all,, the second and rarely occurring,, is it would revert back to +4, the last
and hopefully will not happen to you, though very rare, is that the item would
vanish forever in your inventory. The first two might not be that of a great
loss because the item is still there, but after spending millions in acquiring
and upgrading items and it just vanishes in a right-click,, maybe that will be
one of our most depressing moments as a player. Sad, but happens to those who
are so excited about upgrading, without thinking the risks and dangers it may
cause.

Many players out there claim that they have broken into pieces, the elusive code
of +7s,, but,, that's a myth,, If you'd ask me. There is no perfect formula for
upgrading success.. Your current level, the LUCKY fate box, your life points, or
your attributes,, may do,, if NONE, very feeble outcome on your success in
upgrading.. It's all in sheer LUCK.. So for me,, wait for the right time and
dont just upgrade and upgrade.. Know the consequences it might bring you if
failure results,, and you must be prepared to spend for upgrading items. You win
some, but when you lose, everything might vanish.

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::Chapter
VI. SKILL COMBOS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::Sec
VI-A. Pre-HT
This part of the guide may help you on deciding what skills to get,, every 10
levels. In my experience,, I leveled my Shaman from scratch to HT at about 10
hours of playing non-stop. And here are the outlines of the skills I got before
I treated my friends to heaven ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Level
10:
Vampiric Attack - Rank 1. Level 3. Rating: *****
IMO, this is a very good skill for low level Shamans, not only it attacks
opponents,, but it transfers a part of your damage to HP. Its like attacking
while healing at the same time. Don't master this though,, just get it as
prerequisite to future better skills.

Breath of Life - Rank 1. Level 4. Rating: ***
This is your first healing skill,, though it only targets yourself. Just get
this as a prereq.

Incineration - Rank 1. Level 4. Rating: *****
This is your alternate for Vampiric Attack. It's a very fast casting skill that
could still be useful in your high level days, when you want to cancel an
opponent's attack while duelling. Dont master this though, just as a prereq to
Gaia Dragon Strike.

SKILL POINTS USED: 11
COMBO: Incineration, Vampiric Attack, Breath of Life, repeat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 30:
The skills from level 10 will be included here.
Sacrificial Ritual - Rank 2. Level 3. Rating: *******
Prior to Breath of life, this is your second healing skill that targets you and
a friend. This is a good skill, though still inferior to Heaven's Treatment but
you have no choice but to rely on this while you are still low level. Get this
only as a prereq.

Inspire - Rank 3. Level 2. Rating: ******
This skill is good for those who depend on SP for their attack skills. Very fast
recovery,, it is like using SP pots continuously. No need to master it though.
Just enough for one lure ^^.

SKILL POINTS USED: 11 + 8 = 19
COMBO: You still have no buff chain, so Inspire, Incinerate, Breath of Life,
Vampiric Attack, Incineration, Sacrificial Ritual, repeat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 50:
Level 30 skills would be carried over here.
Fortify - Rank 4. MASTER at Level 9. Rating: **********
Now this is a very good skill, and a must have,, not only that it gives +10
basic defence, it increases def at a certain percentage too. So as much as
possible master this skill in order for you to last longer in a party.

Revitalize - Rank 5. Level 7. Rating: *********
A very good skill to put INTo use when mobs attack with elemental damage. Level
7 puts a stop to all elemental effects,, thus making it an unlimited Refine
Pill. No need to master.

Gaia Dragon Strike - Rank 5. Level 3. Rating: *******
Good attack,, reaches about 1000+ with POW up box. Can hit multiple targets..
What can I say, good for leveling too. Don't master though,, just a prereq for
petrify ^^.

SKILL POINTS USED: 19 + 12 + 11 + 7 = 49
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, Fortify, Inspire
ATTACK: Gaia Dragon Strike
Sacrificial Ritual, repeat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Level
67:
Level 50 skills are added here.
Haste - Rank 6. Level 3. Rating: ***
It hastens your movement speed rate. But MH is a much better skill that requires
this as a prereq at level 3.

Heaven's Treatment - Rank 7. Level 7. Rating: **********
This is the milestone of this part of the guide, getting Heaven's Treatment.
FULL SUPPORT SHAMANS master it, and you are VERSATILE enough, so just leave this
skill to them for mastering.

SKILL POINTS USED: 49 + 8 + 13 = 70
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, Fortify, Inspire
ATTACK: Gaia Dragon Strike
Heaven's Treatment, repeat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VI-B. Pre-MH
Level 100:
Level 67 skills carried over.
Confusion Strike - Rank 8. MASTER at LEVEL 9. Rating: **********
No questions, this is a very good skill,, that you really really need, it adds
defense and evasion. MASTER THIS, its like having TQ and EC at the same time,,
you still have fortify ^^

Petrify - Rank 9. Level 2. Rating: ********
Petrification lasts 8 seconds and most of the time petrifies the opponent. This
is a very good skill and mastering it might be tempting, but dont be,, for you
will have no skill points left. Good for boss mobs and quests. ^^

Massive Haste - Rank 9. MASTER at LEVEL 9. Rating: *********
A very important skill used in leveling, CW and even getting to places when a
Buddy Transmission Card is not around. This is also the pinnacle of you being
versatile, having the right buffs and the right attack ^^.

SKILL POINTS USED: 70 + 16 + 10 + 17 = 113
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, CS, Fort, Inspire, MH
ATTACK: Gaia Dragon Strike, Petrify
Heaven's Treatment, repeat
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VI-C. Pre-RESU
Level 117:
Skills up to level 100 and
Resurrection - Rank 12. MASTER at LEVEL 1. Rating: *****
You may have second thoughts about getting this skill, but dont fret. You'll
only need this when partying. Think of it this way, if you don't have this
skill, no one will ever party with you again. ^^

SKILL POINTS USED: 113 + 12 = 125
COMBO: same as 100,, but when a comrade dies and wishes for it, use RESU.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VI-D. IP vs SGW
This is one of the hottest threads in the forums. If you are still confused,
then get neither of the two. hahaha. Just kidding. Seriously, this is one of the
biggest dilemmas versatile Shamans do face. But no worries, IP is the best.
Though both skills have the same damage, IP has greater range, faster cooldown
time, and definitely a candy to the eye. The only advantage SGW has over IP is
its elemental effects. IP only has incinerate, but SGW depends on the spear you
are using. But if you want to follow this build, stick to IP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VI-E. POST-WAR
At level 127, after winning the war and having IP as the victor ^^. This would
most likely be your skill build.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::ATTACK TAB::
Incineration - Level 4
Gaia Dragon Strike - Level 3
Petrify - Level 2
IP - Level 8

:: SUPPORT TAB::
Vampiric Attack - Level 3
Breath of Life - Level 4
Sacrificial Ritual - Level 3
Inspire - Level 2
Fortify - MASTER
Revitalize - Level 7
Haste - Level 3
Heaven's Treatment - Level 7
Confusion Strike - MASTER
Massive Haste - MASTER
Resurrection - MASTER

SKILL POINTS USED: 145, exactly at level 127 you must have 145 skill points by
finsihing all the quests that reward skill points,, the quests are found on the
next sections.
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, Fort, Inspire, CS, MH
ATTACK CHAIN: IP, Petrify, GDS, IP, repeat
HEALING CHAIN: Auto-HT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You may ask by this point, "So, what's so special there?? Most SA's get that
skill build too." Yup, but did you let me finish?? It's not over yet, this is
the part I will make sure that you will spend to use an Oblivion Potion A.
hahaha. For those asking what auto-HT is, this is the thread, insert link!!!.

OK, so on to resetting, making sure that you have enough space in your inventory
for the spiritual spheres, and you have the Scroll of Gift of Life,, it's time
to get versatile.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::THE VERSATILE SHAMAN BUILD::

::ATTACK TAB::
Incineration - Level 4
Gaia Dragon Strike - Level 3
Petrify - Level 2
IP - Level 8

:: SUPPORT TAB::
Vampiric Attack - Level 3
Breath of Life - Level 4
Sacrificial Ritual - Level 3
Inspire - Level 2
Fortify - MASTER
Revitalize - Level 7
Haste - Level 3
Heaven's Treatment - Level 7
Confusion Strike - MASTER
Resurrection - MASTER

::POW TAB::
Gift of Life - MASTER

Don't worry about losing MH in your build, it would be back really soon, by this
time, you still have 3 unused skill points,, so save this for MH.
SKILL POINTS USED: 142, 3 left unused
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, Fort, Inspire, CS, GoL (self-buffing)
ATTACK CHAIN: IP, Petrify, GDS, IP, repeat
HEALING CHAIN: Auto-HT

But, if you think you really need MH, which FS's and your party really do,, here
is an alternate build

::THE VERSATILE SHAMAN BUILD (MH EDITION)::

::ATTACK TAB::
Incineration - Level 4
Gaia Dragon Strike - Level 3
Petrify - Level 2
IP - Level 4 (still good attack, having 6 target quantities)

:: SUPPORT TAB::
Vampiric Attack - Level 3
Breath of Life - Level 4
Sacrificial Ritual - Level 3
Inspire - Level 2
Fortify - MASTER
Revitalize - Level 7
Haste - Level 3
Heaven's Treatment - Level 7
Confusion Strike - MASTER
MASSIVE HASTE - Level 4 (the movement speed bonus and time duration are good)
Resurrection - MASTER

::POW TAB::
Gift of Life - Level 4

SKILL POINTS USED: 145, all used
COMBO: BUFF CHAIN: Revit, Fort, Inspire, CS, MH, GoL (for self-buffing)
ATTACK CHAIN: IP, Petrify, GDS, IP, repeat
HEALING CHAIN: Auto-HT

This way, you will still have good attack, COMPLETE buffs comparable to the FS,
and you have Gift of Life. I'll leave it to you what to master first.

You have all the power to modify this skill tree according to your preferences.
For example, you preferred having both MH, GoL, and IP at level 127 WITHOUT
RESETTING, then you could always just set MH to level 4, and reserve 25 skill
points for GoL and IP to be unlocked when you reach level 127.

NOTE: If you still have doubts on the accuracy of my computation,, better use
this calculator, >>>http://forums.e-games.com.ph/index.php?topic=23321.0<<<

#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Chapter VII. STATS ET. AL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VII-A. PURE INT DAYS
This would be your non problematic days ^^. Just continue pumping up INT by
putting all stat points you gain on each level (except those you obtained from
quests) and by level 90, you must have added 270 INT points in your build. After
level 90, save all your stat points, in preparation to hybrid.

@Level 1: @Level 90:
base INT - 36 INT - (90*0.750) + 36 + 270 = 369
base VIT - 32 base VIT - (90*4.000) + 32 = 392
base POW - 6 base POW - (90*0.300) + 6 = 33
HP = 54 HP = 654

stat points: 3 stat points: 0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VII-B. TO POW OR NOT TO POW?
This is the question ^^. Familiar?? Well, its just like quarelling over IP and
SGW. Like what I've said in the Advantages section,, POW INT Shamans are way
better than their VIT counterparts. And this is the proof for that:

We all know that every 3 VIT equates to 5 HP, its a fixed value, compared to
GoL's bonuses that when mastered, gives 30% more HP and the bonus defense that
comes with it too, though you may not be able to get it at low levels, you won't
be needing much HP until level 127 though,, if your main purpose is just to
level, because you need not to lure when partying, you will only need to start
to think about HP when you already are active in CW, that time you have attained
high level and enough HP in order to withstand those high-damaging attacks that
most of the time, you are good as dead when it hits. The only downside of this
build is that you being tight on skill points, but is good in saving stat
points. Proof:

(Your VIT points grow at a rate of 4 ppl [points per level], while precious POW
about 0.3 ppl)

@Level 1: @Level 165:
base VIT - 32 base VIT - (165*4.000) + 32 = 692
base POW - 6 base POW - (165*0.300) + 6 = 55
base HP = 54 base HP = 1154

With Gift of Life, you will need 175 POW in order to master it. You already have
55,, but still need 120,, so you could minimize it by equipping lvl 120 alloy
rings, 2 of them, and a spear that gives at least +4 on POW. In equation form,
we get

120 - 14(2 lvl 120 alloy rings) - 4(spear) = 102

So, you need at least 102 POW points still, get this from your stat points. Now
this would be your stat after mastering GoL and equipping 2 level 80 vanish
rings that gives +30 to HP.

base HP @ level 165 = 1154
W/ GoL (-102 stat points) = 1154 + 30 + [(1154+30)*0.3] = 1539, dont forget the
10 defense ^^

So, 1539 - 1154 = 385 HP, divide this by 5 and multiply it by 3 gives you "231",
the stat points you will need to add to VIT in order to get 1539 HP at level
165, and there is no bonus on defense, remember that you only have (165*3) or
495 stat points to spare. If that's the case, here would be your prospective
stat counts:

W/ GoL W/ VIT
INT - (165*0.750) + 36 = 159 INT - (165*0.750) + 36 = 159
VIT - (165*4.000) + 32 = 692 VIT - (165*4.000) + 32 + 231 = 923
POW - (165*0.300) + 6 + 102 = 157 POW - (165*0.300) + 6 = 55
base HP = 1154 base HP = 1539
w/ GoL = 1539 + 10 defense ^^ (equipped with 2
vanish rings)
STATS LEFT: (165*3) + 2 - 102 = 395 STATS LEFT: (165*3) + 2 - 231 = 266

In the first table, you still have 395 stat points left in order to be added to
INT which,, if you add it all is equal to 554 INT compared to the second one
with only 266 points left that adding it to INT would be equal to 425 INT points
only. If you chose the second build, you will only be able to master either IP
or SGW and no longer get the 147 skills. But if you follow the 1st build you
could even get Rank 15 skills if future patches have it, or add the excess to
VIT, making you more powerful and alive, in a sense ^^..

Now, I ask you, which is more of a waste, losing 14 skill points and 102 stat
points by having GoL, or losing 231 stat points just to add to VIT, both have
the same HP, but VIT has no defense added and you could no longer get the 147
skills. By the way, you still have to put stat points to INT. SO, You decide!!!

No matter how you look at it, POW rules!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VII-C. MIGRATING THE STATS
After continuously saving stat points until level 127 and answering your
question that you should indeed put that to POW. Pump it all up to POW,, in
order for you to get the skill Gift of Life that requires 175 POW in order to
master it.

@Level 127:
INT - (127*0.750) + 36 + 270 = 401
base VIT - (127*4.000) + 32 = 540
POW - (127*0.300) + 6 + 111(from level) + 2(from quests) = 157
base HP = 900
w/ GoL = 1170 +10 defense ^^
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Sec VII-D. PLAY WITH YOUR STATS
This is a very good trick to do if you are tight on stat points (you can't do
this on skill points though ^^), that is required to get the skill up to a
certain level. After following my instructions on saving your stats and pumping
them all to POW by lvl 127. Your stats should look like this.

@Level 127:
INT - (127*0.750) + 36 + 270 = 401
base VIT - (127*4.000) + 32 = 540
POW - (127*0.300) + 6 + 111(from level) + 2(from quests) = 157

In your skill build you must have level 8 IP and a MASTERed GoL by level 127.
Lets get to IP first, in order to attain level 8 IP, you must have 420 INT, in
that case you are short by 19 stat points. Don't fret, instead do this trick,
buy 2 lvl 120 silver rings in the market, each may cost about 2M gold, and buy a
wand that gives +5 to INT, so 14(2 silver rings) + 5(wand bonus) = 19, exactly
what you need. After getting level 8 IP, unequip these things and voila!!! You
will have 401 INT but still learned level 8 IP ^^. Then, to save money, just
trade in your 2 lvl 120 silver rings to two alloy rings that gives +7 each to
the POW stat, and your wand with +5 INT to a spear that gives at least +4 pow,,
with this, you will have additional 18 stat points, which if you add to your
currently 157 POW will be equal to 175, exactly the requirement to master GOL
^^.. Now that's some trick ^^. And the fun doesn't end there. You could unequip
it and add in some more precious HP by wearing two lvl 120 Dark Rings or two
level 80 Vanish Rings, pumping up your life a little more. ^^

Nice Guide! Thank you..But could you elaborate more on the stats? Like how much are we supposed to allocate how much skill points on a particular level ie. Level 100? I putting my every skill points in INT but I do not see the point of putting some in POW, and I understand putting points in VIT but I'm going to place some when I reach 101+. I'm focusing primarily on being a party healer/buffer right now.
      Thank you, =3
