Dear Players,

The Closed Beta phase of Pirate King Online is about to come to an end. There will be a scheduled character wipe once the server is shut down on 22nd September, Friday @ 10am GMT + 8 to prepare for the Open Beta which will begin on the 22nd of September, Friday @ 7pm GMT + 8.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our gamers who participated in the Closed Beta and for all the valuable feedback and suggestions that they have given us. We would also like to welcome everyone back to re-live the fun and adventure in our Open Beta phase with many more interesting quests, events and contests planned for everyone!

With the Open Beta launch, this also means that the game will be openly available to all players around the globe to register online and play. There will no longer be anymore character wipes and will remain free to play forever.

                         Open Beta Fastest Leveler Event

Some of you who are not in Singapore might feel left out due to not being able to attend our celebration. Therefore in order to celebrate the launch with everyone we have also planned a Fastest Leveler Event which is open to everyone on the server.

Start Date: 22/09/06 - 1900 hrs (GMT + 8)
End Date: 24/09/06 - 2359 hrs (GMT + 8)

Rules for Fastest Leveler Competition

1. Once the server is open. Players may join the game world immediately and begin leveling.

2. There are no rules to how you may level up. (Quest or grinding)

3. Players with the top levels (as of 24/09/06 @ 2359 hrs GMT + 8) will be awarded the following prizes:

1st place: 3 Gem Vouchers

2nd place: 2 Gem Vouchers

3rd place: 1 Gem Vouchers

All top 3 placings will also receive a new title in the Pirate King Online forums (Speed Leveling Monster) which they may choose to accept/reject or give a suitable alternative which we can consider.

4. Exploiting bugs is strictly not allowed.

To celebrate the launch of our Item Mall, there will be an event held in Singapore on the 14th of October 2006 and Malaysia on the 15th and 16th of October 2006. More details can be found below.

Activities of the day
10.00am - 12.00pm: Simple registration in order to participate.
1.00pm - 2.00pm: Getting to know each other session and introduction of the game to newcomers.
2.00pm - 2.30pm: Commencement of sales of Rum Cards at a special introductory prices (100 Rum Card @ SGD$7 and 300 Rum Card @ SGD$20).
Also some short quizzes to be held whereby players who answer our questions correctly will receive 50,000 in-game gold!
2.45pm - 3.45pm: Auction of specially customized items will begin but players will need to purchase a minimum of a 100 Rum Card to be eligible to participate in it. For each server, we will be auctioning 14 items. 7 items for level 45, 7 items for level 55. To find out what are the special items that we will be having on sale, you will need to come down to find out! (For our international players, don't fret. 4.00pm - 5.00pm: Once the auction is over, we will have a PK event to wrap things up!  A 2v2 event in the arena using a knockout style. Winners of the day will win X2 100 Rum Cards, 1st runner up 100k gold with Gem Voucher, 2nd runner 80k gold.
5.00pm - 7.00pm: Free & Easy

Rules for PK Competition
1. Players have to complete the simple registration at before they can take part in PK event. PvP account will be assigned to each participants.
2. Players are to gather their characters for the event to wait in Argent city outside the PK arena.
3. Players are to wait for the GMs announcement to start the PK event.
4. There are no rules on how to kill the players.
5. There will not be 2 similar class in one team.

Summary

El'Kabong was once a mighty pirate. Formerly known as Jack the Sparrow, he was forced into retirement after breaking his leg unceremoniously when he tripped over a mule while he was drunk. Still, you can't keep a good pirate down with just a broken leg! Although his heydays may be over, the love for battle and bloodshed still rings in his blood and thus he will be organizing a slug fest this coming October 20th for all who wish to take part!

So put down that mug of grog, grab your best buddy or go alone. Fame and fortune awaits the victor!

Instructions
All participants will be summoned into the arena at stipulated timings and are allowed to take their positions in the area. They are not yet allowed to attack but may start buffing up if they like. Players who jump the gun and smacks someone before we give the signal will instantly forfeit their place in the event and will be summoned out immediately.

Once all participants have been summoned into the arena, El'Kabong himself will personally sound off the start of the event and the winner will be the last man standing.

All participants are allowed to use potions for HP, SP and even for buffs. They are also allowed to co-operate with one another to take out the biggest threat first but ultimately they must face off against each other to determine the winner.

In the event of a 1 on 1 tie where it seems unlikely that there will be a winner anywhere soon, El'Kabong will summon both survivors onto a small secluded island with no place to run or hide where they will duke it out no holds barred!



This event is limited to the first 50 sign ups for each event timing and winners of a previous event is not allowed to take part in the other events to give others a fair chance of winning.
