New to MMOSite Forums (BBS)?

Don't panic. We're here to help. Our Forum is a part of MMOsite.com, or you can say it's a BBS. The "MMO" stands for Massively Multi-player Online. And BBS stands for Bulletin Board Service -- one of many slang terms used by people writing a post for a BBS. Oh, and "post" refers to the words you submit when you contribute to a BBS topic. "Topic" refers, of course, to the subject being discussed... Oh dear. It all sounds very complicated, doesn't it? But trust us. Getting to grip with a BBS is a lot easier than it sounds. And there are really only a few things you need to know. The best way to learn is to simply get stuck in and see what happens. And if you get stuck, click on any of the following topics to get some help.

When you enter the forum, you'll see there are two sections: General Forums and Game Pub. General Forums are for you to discuss comprehensive topics. Just select a board and jump into discussion. If you want to enter a forum of a particular game, just simply click Game Pub and select the game.

Account Registration and other Issues

1. Why should I register?

In order to fully take advantage of this forum, you’d better register as a member. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following: Post new threads, Reply to other users' threads, Edit your posts, Send email to other users, Access to new functions added from time to time in the forum, like PM, or Access to other sections of MMOsite, including Space, Answer, Contests & Events, Download, Video, etc

2. How to register?

To register, you only have to specify a username, nickname, password, and a valid email address. You will login MMOsite with your username, but the name appearing on the forum will be your nickname. So, other users can only see your nickname but not your username. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case. (To verify this, you can try sending an email message to another user.) The administrator may have configured the forum to send you the final part of the registration process by email, so ensure that the email address you provide is valid and working. (Can't receive the active mail?) And the registration page is as shown below:

3. What's difference between Username, nickname

You will login MMOsite with your username, but the name appearing on the forum will be your nickname. So, other users can only see your nickname but not your username in forum.

4. I can't receive the activation E-mail, what should I do?

If you can't receive the activation email, you can send an activation email to your mailbox again. Please click User Panel beside your nickname at the top of the forum, and click Modify My Profile in the popup window. Then if your e-mail havent been activated yet , you'll see a sentence: Please activate your account. Click it then you'll get a popup window:

Then click "send me the activation email again" button. And if you can't receive the email either, I suggest you to change another mailbox to get a try (How ), or you can contact our forum admin: Daimon_Hunter or Astrid.

5. How can I log in after registration?

There are two ways to log in. The first one is click the Sign in button on the home page of the forum to enter the login page.

The second one: after you enter a subforum page, you'll see the following login box at the top.

Enter your Username and Password and click Sign In to log into the forum.

If you failed to log in and your browser is Firefox, I suggest you press Ctrl+ Shift+ Delete to clear cache, and try again.

6. What can I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can click Forget Password beside Sign Up (Or click here). Enter the email you provided while registering the forum account and click NEXT. Check your mailbox.

Profile Modification

7.How can I modify my profile?

Enter the login page, select "Modify My Information" under My MMOSITE menu.

After login, you can start to modify your profile.

8. How to modify publicly viewable information?

Select the fields you want to modify, delete the content and type in your new info, and then click Save.

9. How to change my Avatar?

Click the Upload my Avatar button, you'll get a popup window like below:

Click browse to select a local pic and click Confirm to upload. After 30-60 seconds, depending on the size of pic, the pic will be uploaded. Change the pic size and click Save Avatar, and you'll create a personalized MMOsite Avatar.

10. What is Signature for?

Signature is your personalized design you add below your post. However, to utilize this function, your forum level must reach 11.

11. How to modify my signature?

click your user panel into your user center.

You'll seea "edit" button under your signature.

click the buttonto to modify your signature. However , to utilize this function, your forum level must reach 11.

12. How to change my password?

Click the Account button on the top, then you'll get the following page:

Click on Modify next to My password, and you'll see a popup window like below:

Complete the information required, then click Submit, and your password will be successfully changed.

13. How to change my Email?

Click the Account button on the top, then you'll get the following page:

Click on Modify next to your email account, and you'll see a popup window like below:

Enter your new email address, then click Submit, and your email address will be successfully changed.

14. How to set my games?

Click "My Games" and click the Add My Game button, and a window like below will pop up.

Select a game, complete the relevant information, and click "Submit".

15. How to modify my personal information?

Personal Information Bar

After logging in the forum, you'll see the following information bar at the top of the screen:

You can check your mail, bookmarks, recent posts, MMO Gold, etc. here.

16. How to check my mail?

1.Mail box. Click to open your mail box where you can send or check mails and then the following page will appear.

If you click "Send a message", the following window will appear.

Message Title: the title of the message
Receiver: the nickname of the user (must be your buddy) you want to send a message to
Put in message title, receiver nickname and type in what you want to send and click "SEND IT".

17. How to see my profile?

2.Check personal information. Click "User Panel" and the following page will appear:

On this page, click Personal Information , it will display the main information about you, including your avatar, username, level1, EXP, etc.
Click Recent Posts, it will display the posts you made recently.
Click Skill List, it will display the skills you've received.

18. What are skills for?

When you reach a certain level, you'll receive relevant skills. The skill list is as follows:

When you reach level 1, you have the skill to post on the forum. When you reach level 6, you have the skill to upload images. When you reach level 11, you have the skill to create your own signature and modify your signature. And if you're a moderator, you have the skill to use moderator tools.

Currently, there are only a few skills available on the forum, but we will continue to add more skills in the future.

19. What’s the use of bookmark?

3.Bookmarks. Click My Bookmark and you can edit or delete the bookmarks you've saved. In the bookmark folder, you can bookmark any post you want to keep record.

If you see a good post on the forum, and want to keep record of this post, just simply click the Add to Bookmark button above the post, and you can bookmark this post.

20. How to check your recent posts?

4.Check recent posts. Click "Recent Posts", and you'll see the posts you’ve made recently.

21.What is MMO Gold? And how can I get MMO Gold?

5. shows the total number of MMO Gold you have.
MMO Gold is the virtual money on MMOsite. You can use MMO Gold to buy all the goods listed in MMO Shop. Currently, users can only convert forum points to MMO Gold.( Click here to exchange MMO Gold.) But in the future, the points in other sections like Answer Point can also be converted to MMO Gold.
The Exchange Rate:

22. Can I buy MMO Gold? How?

Yes, you can buy MMO Gold from MMOsite if you want to buy goods from MMO Shop but don't have enough MMO Gold. The price is 10 MMO Gold/Dollar. You can buy MMO gold from MMO Shop.

23. How can I sign out?

Levels, Skills and Exp

24. What's my forum level for? And how can I level up?

Your level determines what kind of services you can get from MMOsite Forum and what kind of quests you can do on MMOsite Forum. And there are also some other circumstances which have level requirements.

25. How can I level up?

(1)Posting a thread will earn you 2 forum Exp, replying to a thread will earn you 1 forum Exp and a sticky post will earn you 4 forum Exp, etc. The more active you are in the forum, the more Exp you will get.
(2)You can also increase your level in a quick way through buying Exp box from MMOsite Shop.
(3)In addition, we've got a quest center in MMOsite Tavern. Through completing the different kinds of quests in the quest center, you will level up quickly.

26.What is forum point and how to earn forum point?

Point is a kind of virtual reward you receive from MMOsite by participating in the activities in different sections of MMOsite, including Forum, Answer, etc. As the name suggests, forum point is related to the forum.

You can earn forum point in many ways, for instance,
(1)Level1-Level10 Posting a thread will earn you 4 forum points, replying to a thread will earn you 2 forum point

Level11-Level20 Posting a thread will earn you 6 forum points, replying to a thread will earn you 3 forum point

Level21-Level30 Posting a thread will earn you 8 forum points, replying to a thread will earn you 6 forum point

The more active you are in the forum, the more forum points you will earn.
(2)You can earn forum points through completing the different kinds of quests in the quest center.

Post and reply

27. How to post a new thread?

That's quite simple. Click "new thread" you'll get a popup window like this

And then you can type whatever you want to post to forum. But take care not to break the rules in our forum. ( Click here to read MMOsite Forum Rules.)

28. How to post a reply to the thread?

Want to reply to a thread? Ok, you've got two methods to post a reply. The first one: Find the following textbox at the bottom of the thread:

and type what you want to say in the thread into the textbox, and click Add Reply.

The second one: Click "Post reply"

you will get a popup window like below:

Then type the words you wan to say into the textbox, and click "Submit";. And take care not to violate the rules in our forum. (Click here to read MMOsite Forum Rules.)

29.How to upload the image?

Before getting started, we'd like to remind you that you are not allowed to upload an image until you reach level 6. First, find the button in ubb tool box, then a window like below will pop up:

Select an image or images you want to upload and close the window, then you'll see the image(s) successfully uploaded.

Quote, modify and delete posts

30. How to quote a post?

1. Quote. If you want to quote all or part of someone's post in your reply, click the Quote button, and the following page will appear:

The content between [QUOTE] and [/QUOTE] is what you want to quote. Type what you want to say below the quote and click "Submit" to finish your post reply.

31. How to delete a post?

2. Delete. Only moderator or administrator can delete other users' posts. But if you want to delete your own posts, just click "Delete" to proceed.

32. How to modify a post?

3. Modify. Click on "Modify" to modify any post you've made. Moderator and administrator can modify any user's posts.

33. How to report a post?

4. Report. If you find any advertising post or any post violating forum rules, please click "Report" to inform us.

34. How to go top?

5. Top. Click on the Top button, and you'll go directly to the top of that post.

Other Functions

35. What to do if I want to search a certain board?

There is a portal at the top of the forum:

Click it, then the following list will pop up.

You can find all the game boards here. Click a game and you'll be directed to the subforum of that game.

36. What is pet system?

Do you notice the Assistant button on the right of the screen? Click it, and an adorable pet will appear. It's your pet on MMOsite Forum. It's still not very capable, but as you grow, it will gain more abilities as well.

37. What is the section beside the post for?

Beside the post author, you can see the relevant information about the author.
1. The avatar of the post author
2. Blog link. Click it to enter the post author's blog
3. PM button. You can PM the post author
4. The level of the post author
5. The number of posts the post author has made
6. The points the post author has
7. The MMO Gold the post author has
8. The game the post author is playing

38. What is account age ?

Account age is the number of days you have been in the forum .If you register and sign in the forum yesterday at the first time ,then your accounta age is 1 .You can see your join date in your use panel

FAQ for Quest Center

Welcome to our MMOSITE kingdom. There are many different races and tribes. All of them live on MMOsite-----the Kingdom of Freedom. But sometimes, we still face some difficulties and may also be threatened by evil forces. We need brave and honest warriors to help us. We have set up the Mercenary Guild, which is also our Quest Center. All the problems will be announced here for help. If you complete the quest, you will get the reward.

As a newcomer, you should firstly go around the Mercenary Guild and know something about it.Here is a FAQ for you .

1. What is Quest Center?

Quest Center is a newly launched feature on MMOsite Forum. Similar to in-game quest system, it allows users to receive award after completing a quest.

2. What's the difference between Special Quest and Daily Quest?

Special Quest refers to the quests specially designed for certain events held on MMOsite Forum, while Daily Quest refers to common quests offered on a daily basis on MMOsite Forum.

3. How to take quests?

Access the homepage of Quest Center, and you’ll see various quests displayed there.

Select a quest and click the Accept Quest button to take the quest.

4. How to check my quests?

There are two ways available:

(1) Click the My Quest button on the top of the page to proceed.:

(2) Click Quest List to check your ongoing quests.

5. How to check my quest history?

Click the My Quest History button in the upper right corner to proceed.

All the quests will be listed.

Click quest title to pop up the quest description and progress of the quest.

6. How to do quests?

Six types of quests are offered in Quest Center, namely, Start Threads, Start Threads in Designated Board, Post Replies, Reply to Designated Thread, Read Threads

Start Threads means that you have to start a specified amount of threads in any boards.

Start Threads in Designated Board means that you have to start a specified amount of threads in the designated board.

Post Replies means that you have to post a specified amount of replies to any threads.

Reply to Designated Thread means that you have to post a specified amount of replies to the designated thread.

Read Threads means that you have to read all the specified threads.

Check out quest description as below:

Threads/Replies refers to the amount of threads or replies required for completing a specific quest.

Award refers to the points you can receive when you complete the quest.

For Start Threads in Designated Board, the URL address will direct you to the designated board; while for Reply to Designated Thread or Read Threads, the URL address will direct you to the designated thread.

7. How to hand in quests?

When you complete a quest, the Get Award button will automatically appear in your Quest List. Click this button to hand in the quest and receive the corresponding points. Surely, you have to hand in the quest before the Deadline, or you’ll get no award because the quest expires.

8. What if I wanna give up a quest?

Access Quest List, and you’ll see your ongoing quests. If you can’t complete the quest or you want to give it up, simply click the Give Up Quest button, then the quest will be canceled. But you can still take this quest again on the homepage of Quest Center.

9. Can I repeat quests?

Yes, some quests can be repeated. For example you can repeat the quests of Starting Threads and Post Replies. However, you are only allowed to do the same quest once per day.

10. How many quests can I take each day?

You are allowed to take a maximum of three quests each day.
