1. Theme control
The moderator must create an open discussion atmosphere in the forum he/she moderates, trying best to write posts, transfer relevant articles and reply to users’ questions. It is the moderator's responsibility to establish and keep the forum style and theme according to the board layout.

2. Maintain order
The moderator must mediate irrational quarrels occurred in the forum he/she moderates to maintain normal order. The moderator should take a neutral stand and pose a fair attitude in settling disputes, particularly when involved in controversial topics.

3. Keep forum clean
Monitor your asigned forum for abusive posts, unauthorized spam or advertisements, copyright infringements, any sort of harassment, and any other violations of the forum rules and edit or delete posts that violate these rules.

4. Reward users
Properly utilize the moderator’s rights to reward users for their excellent posts through making them sticky, classic or giving users scores. Do not abuse your power for personal gain.

5. Organize activities
Organize forum activities frequently and closely coordinate with the official forum staff in organizing forum activities.

6. Increase forum popularity
Foster a sense of community, caring and responsiveness in your assigned forum. This can be done easily by getting involved in discussions, responding to posts (especially those no one else responds to), and offering your support.
NOTE: You do not have to reply to every post.

Probation Moderator – Formal Moderator – Elite Moderator – Super Moderator – Heroic Moderator

Temporary (probation) Moderator: When one month probation period expires, a temporary moderator can become a formal moderator after submitting an application and being approved .

Formal Moderator: The formal moderator of MMOsite forum promoted from temporary moderator.

Elite Moderator: Elite moderator must be able to enforce the forum rules fairly and strictly and push the forum to develop rapidly. If perform well, a formal moderator can apply for Elite moderator after working as formal moderator for 6 months

Super moderator: Super moderator must have made a great contribution to the development of the forum. If perform well, a formal moderator can apply for Super moderator after working as formal moderator for 18 months.

Heroic Moderator: If perform well, a formal moderator can apply for Heroic Moderator after working as formal moderator for 36 months.

After logging in as admin, you’ll see a [Board Management] button beside [Classic Topics]. Click it to enter board management page.

The moderator has the following rights:

1. Delete tread or post
2. Move Topic
3. Sticky/cancel sticky
4. Edit post
5. Lock/cancel lock
6. Classic/cancel classic
7. Edit post title font
8. User ban management

1. Delete thread or post
You can delete a topic on the admin interface in the following way: tick select the check box beside the post, and select “Delete” in “Fast management operation”.
You can also directly delete a topic or a reply in the forum page as follows: enter a topic and click the “Delete” button above the post you want to edit.

2. Move Topic
If a post is irrelevant to the board, you can move it to an appropriate board on the admin interface in the following way: tick select the check box beside the post, and select “Transfer” in “Fast management operation”.
Note: A window will prompt to let you select the board you want to transfer the post. You can’t see the prompt window if your browser shields it. (This window will be blocked under FF, so if you wanna move topic, plz use IE)

3. Sticky/cancel sticky
A sticky post must be about board introduction or board rules, or notices, announcements or hot topics. Do not make too many posts sticky. 5 is acceptable, but not more than 7.
Make a post sticky as follows: tick select the check box beside the post and select “Sticky” in “Fast management operation.
Cancel a sticky post as follows: tick select the check box beside the post and select “Cancel sticky” in “Fast management operation.

4. Edit post
Be cautious when using this function. To respect the post author, do not use this function unless it is absolutely necessary. If some mistakes are found in the post and have to be corrected, you’d better leave a message to the author to ask him/her to correct it himself/herself.

5. Lock/cancel lock
Lock a post as follows: tick select the check box beside the post and select “Lock” in “Fast management operation”.
Cancel lock as follows: tick select the check box beside of the post and select “Cancel lock” in “Fast management operation”.

6. Classic/cancel classic
Making posts classic is an important part of the moderator’s routine work. The moderator should often make excellent original articles classic.
Make a post classic in the following way: tick select the check box beside the post and select “Classic” in “Fast management operation”.
Cancel a classic post in the following way: tick select the check box beside the post and select “Cancel classic” in “Fast management operation”.

7. Edit post title font
Do it as follows: tick select the check box beside the post and select any font you want in “Fast management operation”.

8. User ban management
Do it as follows: click “User ban management” in the top right corner of the admin interface. Enter the username you are going to ban (Note: it’s username, not nickname), select the ban time ranging from 10 minutes to 6 hours as well as ban reasons, and click “Submit”.

Temporary Moderator: 30 MMO gold (monthly)
Formal Moderator: 50 MMO gold (monthly)
Elite Moderator: 100 MMO gold (monthly)
Super Moderator: 150 MMO gold (monthly)
Heroic Moderator: 300 MMO gold (monthly)

If assessed as "perfect" at the end of a month, the moderator can get an extra 20% MMO gold.
